After 1 year and 6 months, I still listen to this MASTERPIECE, even though it didn't compete at Eurovision!! But she deserved to win, so I hope she comes back soon and she wins and goes to Eurovision to show her talent to ALL EUROPE. Love from Spain 🇪🇸❤️🇫🇮

Well, on youtube both the cyan kicks and the rasmus were leading in views compared to bess. + On umk it's the finnish who are voting and based on the comment section I feel like bess had a lot of international support (though idk if you're talking about finnish charts)

Ei kaatunut kieleen vaan tuohon koreografiaan ja vaatteisiin. Meillä moni tykkäsi tästä etukäteen, mutta liven jälkeen ei halunnut enää äänestää. Miksi pitää tehdä näin halvan näköinen koreografia ja tanssia vähän sinne päin jos on oikeasti mahdollisuuksia menestyä? Pilasi BESS itse kyllä mahdollisuutensa.

She wasn't best. Probably even overrated song. Good "radio-song", but not works in the liveshow 🤔 But peoples have different opinions so i don't want to say anyone is wrong.
She was my favorite from the start, and she delivered! I do hope she will try again to represent Finland again, because she is a queen! Not just an amazing performer, but in other videos she showed pieces of her perosnality, and she just seems like a very cool woman!

Sure, The Rasmus will probably do better... but Eurovision is worse off for not having Bess and "Ram pam pam" in the competition. It's probably my favorite of the whole National Final season.
I liked it very much too but it just didn’t work live. The whole show and vocals weren’t good.

@@ela5640 No. Younghearted and Tommi Läntinen were in my opinion the only ones that had a great performance overall (including vocals, sound mixing, staging etc) even though neither of those were my initial favourites. No matter how good the song would be on Spotify if it doesn’t work live it’s no point sending it further in the competition.
@@Pandariini. Younghearted’s first 2 minutes were so boring, there was literally nothing interesting on the stage, but yeah vocals were good. Tommi, I agree, but nothing could fix that song at all

People are saying the staging is why this didn't win but let's be real, the more realistic reason is that cyan kicks and rasmus were already the favourites before the competition and had a lot of finnish people in the comment sections. Bess had more international people commenting than finnish. And let's not forget that rasmus was the most known before umk. Also, I feel like the finnish public who tends to vote on umk are in general suckers for bands and rock+dark vibes. I'm saying this because there a lot of people putting it *all* on the staging and I think it's unrealistic to think that this would have definetly won if the staging wasn't this.
The hard truth is that this had a shitty staging. The Rasmus was way better, Lauri can improve his vocals. But this god awful staging can't be fixed. Cyan Kicks was pure shit too.

@@Tretij_rebenok Lauri had the worst vocals of the night... the one reason they won is because "The Rasmus" . Give the same song to Cyan Kick and they would have tanked. Lauri was never strong singing live. That is their only saving grace - their band name.
@@nightlystalkers i agree and disagree. His vocals need training, but their overall show had the best package. Cyan kicks had those cringy jumps and that godawful "playing" at the end. Don't even get me started with BESS and Issac Sene.

‘Ram Pam Pam’ was my absolute winner of UMK 2022. The song is catchy & original and BESS set the stage on fire 🔥 she could stand out from the others. And then Finish sounds so fresh & cool! My favorite rarely wins ☹️. I wanted to see BESS in Turin. Now I am so sad 🥲
Before the show, I was sure that The Rasmus will win the selection because of their name. I think it helps them a lot to be honest. ‘Jezabel’ is still a good song but already heard a lot of times. For me, it sounds generic and uninteresting. Nothing new and in the same vein than a lot of their previous entries. Finland doesn’t take any risk by sending this. Such a pity 🥲

Well luckily this year we could finally get it right :D...But I agree it shame Bess didnt get picked to Eurovision last year, epecially considering that this song became the most popular song in Finland last year and the song as well as BESS herself won numerous awards.
And I completely agree with Jezabel, I was actually quite disappointed with the song because its far from the best we have heard from the The Rasmus, but I knew it was gonna win back then based on the fact that it was "safe" choice and because The Rasmus ofc had been one of the most popular Finnish artists in Europe back in the day.
Such an underrated song and performance. It was incredible.

Many people here in Finland hated the staging. The tacky clothes and choreography ruined her chances to win unfortunately. I know many people who decided to vote Cyan Kicks instead because of BESS performance.

@@guillaumeducellier792 UMK has gone in for the same strategy as Sweden where what you see in the national final is largely what you'll see in eurovision. Conpletely redoing the staging leaves too much room for error since it hasn't been tested with the public
I think the choreography was great but the dancers were maybe not super synchronized... also there was way too much color on the stage compared to the video and the coloring of the background animation did not fit with the dancers' outfits AT ALL
I completely agree... She had the best song and the video was great but this performance, clothes and choreography ruined everything... It made every good thing disappear as the viewer was left with his/hers mouth open in confusion... "what did I just watch"...
@@Tretij_rebenok not true. Last year Switzerland changed everything after their first rehearsals on the Eurovision stage. As a matter of fact, contestants are even allowed to remix their songs at this point.
The lighting was completely wrong for this performance. There are times where you can't even see her face. I don't know who thought the angle from behind at 02:30 was a good idea. It's a really bad shot.
