@@user-ip3ic7pm6e To finish off low health targets if the opportunity arises, draw the enemy focus towards your position and ambush them, star a fire perhaps. It should be obvious. Also some subs had 2 guns, which is respectable if fighting destroyers, for example.
Planes can already bomb them.

This is fine for this tier. Wait til Radar and CV's are involved in higher tiers and let's see how long a DD will last and Subs and CV's will be the last ships still alive.
I think subs will take the roles of dds and dds will stick with other ships, like in real life.

Modern destroyer roles are escort warships of the main fleet protecting the main fleet from enemy subs they are the vanguards of the whole fleet.
While they still reprise the role of reconisance but the major role of subs is to be a hunter in deep enemy territory. Thus destroyer now play a multirole more than ever before.
Now i feel bad for the large surface ships like the battleships

@@czoborarpi yes but they are slow and they can not cap submerged. So we have to see who goes for cap and when. DD smoke was already useless at higher tiers, now subs can prevent DD capping.

Not bad but..... I must laugh over the ship Captains who tried and tried to fire apone the Submarines while they were dieving. It stands in big letters next to the cross that they cannot be hit but they still try it to hit them with gun shots instead of water Bombs.
No wonder that Wot and Wot are having the call of Brain AFKlers when I watch this :).

Its just weird to see people trying to shoot at subs when they are 20+ meters below the surface where the he splash wont affect the subs, instead of when the subs are at the surface like at 10:12 where the U-66 sub is literally on the surface (1.4 m). When it comes to subs the km is the distance (just under the player name) and the m is the depth (under the distance). Not blaming anyone but it is quite easy to see that WG put the depth gauge(m) on subs for a reason. Other than that, nice gameplay, and keep the videos coming they're great.

Guess there's no point in picking any other type of ship since DDs can do it all: Depth charges for Subs, regular guns for DDs and Cruisers, and Torps for everything. Might as well cal it "World of Destroyers."

DD class will be much more difficult to play i think because you have to multitask between capping, torping and sub hunting. Looks French DDs and possibly EU DDs will be sub hunters because they are less useful for capping.
The best Sub hunter is Gaede, hidro works wonders against subs
Waterbombs have diffrent damager and number of charges.
EU DD are good but also the American ones. Both are agiole which is good for dodging the torps and their bombs make higher damage.
Pan Asien does less damages but they have more charges to drop.
Dds won't be capping and spotting... that will be the new role for subs
It is very strange to WG that they named German submarines u-69, but it's official name was type 7c.
Caaause type VIIC is a model and u-69 is the name? Germans didn't give lesser ships individualistic names, instead of "Spirit of Berlin" or the "Prancing Eel" they just gave them factory production numbers.
Why are his HE shells blue instead of yellow?
"Special Captains/Unique Commanders" have colored tracers. For Germany, it could have been Günther Lütjens (doubt it) or maybe even Alexander Ovechkin (probable).

How deep submarine can avoid it?
When a submarine reaches 5.1 meters down she goes in her submerged position, making still possible to hit but harder, from 6.1 to 40 meters she is in her low submerging position, making it hard to spot? After 40 to 50 meters she goes In her operative position, making her virtually impossible to be spotted if not with hydro acoustic search or by other subs.
With the consumable she can go over 50 meters but she will have to return on surface afterwards.

Still very apprehensive about having a ship class that can be entirely immune to certain other classes (CAs, BBs), and that's putting it charitably. As to the counter that those 'helpless' classes should thus keep their other anti-sub allies alive? They clearly don't know much about teamwork in WoWs...

Looks like you didn't played sub test yet. Subs are damn slow and hard to play. Even BBs can outrun them easily so they are now helpless. Also sub needs to recharge its battery to be able to fire homming torpedoes, a precise salvo from BB when subs is merged would sunk her.
Seeing a game like this makes them seem like maybe they're not quite so broken as they might initially seem.
You realize that it took him forever to kill a spotted sub and that he was spotted as well during the killing? What do you think happens to a dd spotted for 4 minutes?

I think the best way for the Subs to exist in WoWs would be in a seperate PvP mode. Where one team consists of 8-12 subs and the enemy team of DDs, some CLs with ASW and maybe CVs (4-8 players) and make it a Escort-mode.
First of all it would be a new gamemode, second you could make different difficulty levels in this gamemode.
Lets say the easy mode is Subs vs DDs only and lower tier. Everything is abit slower, the convoy is less protected and its harder to spot planes. Aswell as limiting the Torpedo-capabilitys. Lets say there isnt a second ping in easy. Or even no Pings at all. Just plain torpedoing the merchant fleet and avoiding the DDs. There should also be bonus for succesfully attacking the convoi and escaping.
Then we have the higher tier level (T7-9). Where the first ping is now activated, everything faster and deadlier. Aswell as bigger targets ofcourse, but more enemy DDs.
And T10 is the hardest level. Subs vs DDs and *a* escort carrier (Hey Bogue, long time no see :D). Both pings available. Big targets, (harder to kill they even shoot back because at the end of the war every US merchant ship had atleast some weaponry). Active countermeasures like rattlers on DDs, Hedgehogs (new weapon), etc.
I really wish you could single torp with the subs. Sucks to have to Double torp everything right now

He shoots at subs when they're 30m below the surface and doesn't when they're literally 1m below smh
How about prevent them to surface with shooting above them before they have a chance to get you with shotgun mode. Smart play by DD... 1st take the surface ship down then don't let the subs to surface and to recharge battery's and on the end send them to the bottom with the depth charge.

Subs in WWII were never engaged directly in the order of battle
They operated on completely different scale
Thus the inclusion of subs in the game is utter nonsense. Both historically and from the gameplay point of view as well
No dd, no sub kill. Days are numbered for this game on my pc. Only way to make it work is to make it free for all to kill and have limited amount of ammo for all classes. You get destroyers that let off wave after wave of torps and also HE shells from the cruisers. Eliminate that, and then battleships might have a chance to survive.

I agree. DDs should have only 10-15 torpedoes max. Then they would have to actually fight for a living.
You are running the game like that, being a BB is hard, but is also being the biggest fist out there, whit the biggest cannons and the longest range, we can snipe CV from the other side of the map and delete whit our secondary guns anything that gets close enough, I think that the torpedo damage of the subs will be nerfed, like they did whit the CV, and probably they should have less range and be almost blind when dive, but the game isn't broken, whit skill you can have fun, also don't forget that this is a test, they still trying to put in whiteout change the balance too much
Those depth charges were on point, yet .. the little fkers stayed alive.
This game is just unreal dude, pushing gameplay to a stale condition, wasting our time.
