I think this edit really points out how addiction manifest itself in most people. The feeling of inadequacy, and powerlessness -wanting to numb your emotions to feel as if your existence is ok. I thought it was realistic to see how much she felt that the drugs were helping her both win competitions, and destroying her abilities because she had no other way to deal with her tramua. She made up her mind people would abandon her, so consumed in what she felt was her only means to have purpose that she was willing to destroy her self in the process because what else did she have? I’m glad Jolene made her realize that she didn’t need those things, and just by her taking up space in a male dominated arena was enough to inspire several other people in the series, even men to discover who they were. Beth you were never alone and sometimes we all feel that despite contradictory evidence.
When you are told you can't. Quietly do it, sicced and if they find out you did it, kudos n blessings to you. Don't gloat at them, just feel accomplished. You broke that wheel.

Genuinely my favorite edit of her, i love the build in emotion with the music and all of the dialogue pulled!! Absolutely stunning!!
