Your 'Favorite Reads of 2024' video is amazing! What are your all-time favorite books in fiction or non-fiction? Also, what would you recommend to start 2025 with-a feel-good read?
@LuminousLibro You're so passionate about books, and it really shows! I checked out your playlist of favorite books and was amazed to see 114 videos. While it's incredible, it's also a bit overwhelming to choose. Could you suggest a few must-reads to start with? Would really appreciate it!
I highly recommend Diane Duane’s Star Trek books too. Two of the best novels are Rihannsu and Spock’s World. They are based on the original Star Trek series, which is my favorite. They are among the finest Star Trek novels.
I thought my list was long. I have 24 favorites, but in my 3 part video (to fair it was only because I filmed right before I had to go to an appointment) I forgot to include my Kindle reads or my one reread in the videos. My Favorites for 2024 1. Touch Me Not by Jose Rizal 2. A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles 3. Stoner by John Williams (Kindle) 4. Anne of Avonlea by LM Montgomery 5. When Elephants Dance by Tess Uriza Holthe 6. The Last Time I Saw Mother by Arlene J. Chai 7. Dusk by Sionil F. Jose 8. Viajero by Sionil F. Jose 9. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susannah Clarke 10. Heartstone by Elle Katherine White 11. Persuasion by Jane Austen (Reread) 12. Clash of Kings by George RR Martin 13. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness 14. The Magicians by Lev Grossman 15. Of Blood and Fire by Ryan Cahill (Kindle) 16. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins 17. The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow 18. The Omen by David Seltzer (Kindle) 19. John Adams by David McCullough 20. My Death by Lisa Tuttle 21. America is in the Heart by Carlos Bulosan 22. The Book of Lost Things by John Connelly 23. The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Katie Lumsden 24. Passage to India by EM Forester
Wow, lots of great reading!
Kenilworth was terrific 🔥🔥🔥. Underrated for sure. Every bit as good as Ivanhoe.
You’ve had such a great year of reading, Kailey!! I really want to get to Thomas Wingfold, Curate this upcoming year! You’ve sold me on it!
Oh, you would absolutely love it! It's actually the first book of a trilogy, and it's so inspiring and introspective. Happy Reading!
@ Even better!!
