Yearofthe was a Spyro TH-camr back when I was (PeanutBoy2, account got suspended in 2007). So cool to see his name dropped in this game. Others from that time were James Bertolli, ShadowWizard, Spyster10000, RedDevilDazzy2007. We filmed our TVs with cameras. Felt like sharing since I've seen Spyro evolve on this site since the beginning. It's so wild seeing this 15 years later.

This mod was really cool. However, I have only one complaint, and that is that the level of quality is inconsistent. Some of the levels like Molten Crater, Desert Ruins, and Lost Fleet had massive changes where levels like Dino Mines, Sunny Villa, and Spooky Swamp are nearly the same as the original. I understand that creating a mod like this takes quite some time, but the weird level inconsistencies make the hack feel unfinished.
The texture hacks may have just been an extra low priority inclusion just to pay tribute to the community, just compiling the best ones and giving them a shoutout.

Well, that's certainly the longest consecutive Dayo I've ever watched. Most impressed with the revamped Lost Fleet level. Really enjoyed the music in that one, which is good because it was present a considerable amount of time.
@dayoman i think the fight 1:55:22 they have dine something to him to customize him. He is shooting very rapidly BUT he starts on 2 shots and ends on 4. In normal spyro 3, if it's ez mode he starts on 2 and goes up to 3 but has long pauses between shots. Hard mode he starts on 3 and ends on 4 with rapid firing and leading shots. This is a combo meal

1:56:45 Are that harder bossfight actually a build-in feature in game? It feels like my first playthrough in childhood when I played a pirated 3-in-1 version of the game. Yeah, the pirates are fitted all three Spyro games in one disk and even traslated and fully dubbed the later two in Russian! Retrospectively, the last one was espessialy funny, because they even dubbed "You're playing the pirate version of the game" Zoe's dialog appearing somewhere in early game when game's anti-tamper protection got triggered. And yeah, I somehow got to the Sorceress in that version of the game, yeah I set autosave enabled, yeah I got my childhood trauma and my childhood got ruined in seconds and I still don't think I deserve it. (I wanted a can of beer after this post)

I'm no speedrunner but for the boss Spike there's a easy way to dodge his attacks and have enough time to line up the shot. You just stand still and jump to the left or right to dodge his blast. You can camp out near a boulder, do this trick, then headbutt the rock. I imagine this would save a good bit of time but idk. Its definitely better than charging around and him destroying the rock or you taking a hit.
Hey Dayo, I tried searching "spyro 3.5 playthrough dayo" and this video didn't come up, when it really should have been one of the first two videos. Just wanted to let you know the algorithm is being an ASS, and maybe you could include some search terms to be more easily findable when searching?
This mod was a huge step in the right direction. The level of effort is unprecedented. I still feel, as a consumer of these mods, that original spyro romhacks have a long way to go. I want to see custom levels with all new geometry that tests the limits of the original games' engine. Still, this is great, and considering how small the modding community is i am very happy with what we have. hopeful for the future
2:16:25 My dude, that was the actual voice line from the vanilla game. A lot of these are. I can tell from the tiny voice inflections I've heard a thousand times being present, that's not something a new voice actor could mimic perfectly.
What'd be crazy is a randomizer that randomizes all items you need to pick up to beat a mini game...so Farly's ball could be in a random level, those bomb stones in Haunted Tomb can just spawn and fall out of the sky in Midday Garden. And it doesn't have to be the third game either, the professor's pencil fetch quest...the equivalent of the Big Goron Sword fetch quest in a OoT randomizer, those Lighting Stones in Hurricos? Pfft good luck...do you hear a thief in a level you're not supposed to? Could be something you need~ and you can only hold one at a time, but if you drop it, it'll lock that item there...if we could carry item between levels, with how people are modding the games and making new levels... and for those of you who say it "nO OnE WanTS tO Do thAT!!" People in Oot and MM have made rando's to randomize the pots and the *grass* with keys, Gold Skulltulas, and items they need to progress the game or to even reach the final boss... Ya'll are masochists, you just don't see it in Spyro...yet.
this games so artistic love all the worlds would love to be there in vr headset. i love how the worlds are all designed like a circuit you start where you finish and can only get to that side by completing it from my experience playing it back in 09 despite the cheats i never new about then but the worlds all have amazing vibe just wish i could go there in real life like vr headset and kat walk for more realism

Technically, you didn't beat the hardest Spyro mod. You beat the easy version of the hardest Spyro mod.
