I think they intentionally had it up against the lockers for the most part so that the non-matt shoulder angel (Idk her name sorry) could rest most of her weight on those and Matt could kind of prop himself up with his arms.

Stacey is amazing in this sketch! But people seem to be forgetting about Matt. That he can support this and still keep his balance on Stacey without hurting him is pretty amazing. And at 2:55 he supports his shoulder angel using just his arms and core while he's changing positions. Like WOW!!

the thing I love most about this video (apart fro Matt's brilliant lines) is how Adam and James are just casually holding up the lockers. Either that or they're waiting for someone to collapse or fall off so they can catch them.
the way everyone in the background 'unknowingly' helped get the second shoulder angel up, or helped support the lockers at the end was great! seeing Adam power-lean and then Natalie lean against the lockers, James being used as a stepladder and then pushing against them slightly at the end together with Jeremy. And just as you mentioned all of them being so close so they'd have someone to hold on to or to save them if the shoulder angels slipped. Incredible. The more I look at what the people in the background are doing, the more I realise how they're essentially there to assure the safety of this sketch. And it's not too obvious either. simply amazing
