    Your front porch is perfect and makes such a good impression! The plants are beautiful and everything looks neat clean and tidy without looking crowded. Your Ficus Ruby is so gorgeous! Well done! 👌🪴🥰

    For some people, the more plants, the merrier. Such an amazing big collection of plants.

    Beautiful collection! Would you consider doing a video when you water your outdoor plants so we can see how much you give them? 😊

      Yes absolutely! But I can also tell you I just use the hose and spray until the soil is completely saturated

    Very beautiful sis, your porch looks so nice, summer definitely makes our plants grow so much, I’m getting cooler weather in Missouri so I have started bringing mine in, my friend has a very pretty home made green house, and this year she doesn’t have room for some very large plants, and has asked me if I want them , so Monday I gets some new large babies, I’m so excited 💚

    So excited about this series!! Can’t wait to see your full sun room tour 😍
    How do you keep the red on the ficus ruby indoor (south east window)?
    Mine has a little bit of red but has variegated as yours.
    PS: it’s literally by the window

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks I’m excited to show it all! Ficus Ruby pretty much needs a grow light indoors to keep the deep coloring.

    Love this video!!! Question- when moving plants outside for the summer do you have to have them under a covering so they don’t get too much rain if it’s a rainy summer?

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some are on my porch partially covered and others on my deck out in the open. They will love the rain!

    Question about tradescantia. I think I remember you saying that you don’t bother to keep yours through the winter, is that right? Mine definitely struggles even with a grow light. Next year I might consider tossing it to avoid the over winter sadness lol

    Porch goals! 💚 How often do you water the Ficus Triangularis?

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally depends on the heat/humidity but usually 1-2x a week

      It does a great job at growing back leaves where some have fallen off

    Can you tell me how you hang plants on the ceiling and walls? We have a lot of stucco and don’t really want to put holes in the house. But I want to hang stuff! Is there a magical solution?

    I live in Phoenix and my front porch faces SE. It gets direct morning sun and shade in the afternoon (but Phoenix heat). Could I stick my Tineke, Rubber plant and Hoyas out in this space? Phoenix heat is brutal, well over 105. But it only gets morning direct sun. Thoughts?

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you can find a spot for them in full shade then yes! Or even if they get very early morning light they should be ok. If they’re getting mid morning sun they may burn so you’ll need to acclimate them slowly by putting them out for a bit and moving them back into shade. Also being in AZ you’ll need to make sure they’re being watered frequently

    How about the winter?? All plants that are outside are brought into the house

    Im looking for a big plant that requires low light. My pot is in a northeast window.
    Any suggestions?

    Where do you put these plants in the winter time? Like it had all this new growth in the summer but what about winter?! Doesn’t Omaha get pretty cold? 🥶

    • @leajohnson8441
      @leajohnson8441 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We’re do you think she going to put them in the house .

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I put most of them under grow lights because they're used to higher light levels.

    Do you get winters like I get in buffalo?! (Literally -10/-15 degree windchills and seriously sometimes 2’ of snow per night)..??!? If so, how do the plants react once inside? Do you supplement with grow bulbs?

    • @houseplusplant
      @houseplusplant  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we do! We are in zone 5b so definitely get negative temps. I bring them in when it’s consistently in the 50’s and put my ficus under grow lights to prevent leaf drop. The rest acclimate just fine and then they all go back out in the spring
