    Cutting holes and drinking beer 😂
    I'm building a ram promaster and it's overwhelming how much work everything is.
    Insulation so far was the worse
    What are you guys doin for your lower cabnits?

      Hey! we built our lower cabinets out of plywood. I think we have a video on how we did it in the build playlist!
      Also, hang in there... It's a labor of love. It took us 9 months to get ours on the road, and even then we still had things to do. That's what happens with most people. You got this. and reach out for any help!

    Why didn't you shift the front fan so it was centered on the flat area and shift the rear fan so it lands on the high point of the corrugations?

      That's a good call out. Truthfully, we didn't know better. But two years later, still no leaks, and runs like a bull - knock on wood.

    You could have put wood underneath to tighten the screws too. Less chance of leaks later!!!!!

      ah! For next time! So far though, no leaks! :) Fingers crossed!

    do you need to heat shrink around each connectors?? or just crimp? Thanks

    • @zakandfal
      @zakandfal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      no heat shrink around our small wires, although you can certainly do it! we just used our crimp connectors for those. We only used heat shrink in our large electrical area, which you can see here: th-cam.com/video/5Wxm9z2GmL4/w-d-xo.html
      Hope this helps!

    Where's the power source coming from?
    Can I use power from the dome lights any help would be much appreciated thanks

    • @zakandfal
      @zakandfal ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! We have 3 100 Amp Hour LiFe (Lithium Iron) Batteries, connected to 400 Watts of Solar. Not entirely sure what you mean by using power from dome lights (I'm not familiar with dome lights). But this is how we power our rig.

      @@zakandfal i was hoping to wire it to the existing wiring like the interior car lights that is powered by the car battery

      @@AOmega72 Hm! I've never heard of this (but I've never heard of a lot of things!) Luckily, TH-cam has tons of really knowledgable people. The fans don't drain a ton of power, but the one thing I would warn against is that obviously you don't want to drain your car battery. Most rigs have a separate house battery of some sort. Good luck! I really hope you find what you're looking for! :)

      Part of our documenting in the beginning was showing the whole process-- but learned that that's not what everyone is looking for!

      😂😂 to be fair though it’s a real world fitting so it’s not all that bad. All of these how too videos miss a lot of things out. I actually found this quite helpful even if there are a few things that might not be the right way to go about it.
      I’d be doing pretty much the same way but think I’ll put a board on the roof to spread the weight around just from watching this.

      @@zakandfal very much so thank you I’ve been to visit have a look at it today as never really looked at the roof yet and it’s going to be a miracle if it doesn’t leak I think I’m going to clamp it for a few days to strengthen the panel straight
