Thank you so much for making this video! It was super informative and gave a lot of details/personal experience you just can’t get from endlessly scrolling through the department website. (Speaking from experience;)
Thanks so much!! Northwestern is literally my dream school, so hoping to get in 😬😂 I'm a senior in high school and I'm doing the musical theater supplement with my regular application. I have it down to three songs for the performance videos, but I need to choose two, can you give any advice? My choices are Moon River, On the Steps of the Palace (Into the Woods), and The Secret of Happiness (Daddy Long Legs). Thanks again for all your insight!
I'm going to be a first year theatre major and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for navigating the world of theatre at northwestern (it's very overwhelming)
Ty for this vid!! I applied ed for theatre and I’m super interested in acting. Ik for the acting sequence you get to choose a professor to take it with, right? I was wondering if each prof focuses on a different method. I really like Meisner, so is there like a prof who specifically focuses on that in the sequence, or do they all teach generally similar techniques?
Thanks for the informative video!! Since you have mentioned getting a dual degree in music and theatre (which is what I desire as well), I was wondering if there are any pros and cons of applying directly as a dual degree applicant, or waiting after I get in through music or theatre to apply the other one?
Hey! I was technically not a dual-degree but rather a double-major. I will say that I think it's not too hard to get into Bienen once you're there. I can't speak for the initial audition but I found it was pretty easy to "transfer in". I think the opposite is true of theatre. There's a cap on the # of students per class so there's usually a waiting list of people trying to transfer in.
Sk a yes they do! When you apply you submit a FAFSA and the university will determine your financial aid package. Everyone’s is different depending on what the university thinks they can allot for you.
Like... Kinda like... Like... Like... Kinda like... And speak as fast as you possibly can. What the hell happened to NU? Obviously it's no longer called the School of Speech.
