As someone who had a senior pomeranian pass last year let me just say it made me smile so big that you were so excited to see that breed was even an option. Mine was parti colored and he was the best!

6:50 the black toy poodle has my most favorite bark in the whole game. The first time I played this game and I heard that bark come out of an adorable orange Pomeranian I was immediately in love. I'm a little bummed the dog you chose didn't have that bark but it's all good. I can always get that bark on my own game :D
I just got my first nintendogs + cats game today it was the golden retriever version I plan on getting the boston terrier and then the toy poodle version when I started my game I chose a cream colored golden retriever and named her bailey tought her to sit down lay down play dead roll over and I unlocked cats but don't have enough to get them yet lol and I won first place in the lure compition and tried begginer again and got 3rd place I got 1st place in the begginers disc compition twice

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! I still think about the Pomeranian option, but thankfully we can have up to 4 pets. There's still hope.
