Why should he care what anyone thinks he should do? He’s a pro bike rider and does what he loves to do.

Keep riding Froomey. Who the heck is anyone to say when any of us stop doing the thing we love. He's achieved more than anyone of us. If I'd been good enough I would ride till I got dragged away. Of course he's cashing in...this channel exists for the same reason!!! He's literally helping you earn money!!! Hypocrisy?

Sagan did the right thing. He knew his time has passed. I wish Froome followed suit. It’s about the money I guess.

He gets to ride his bike all over the world, being paid for it, is a bonus.

Yeah its always sad when pro's get injuries or health issues they just can't recover from. So although not their own fault, just become shadows of their former selves. But usually they realise unfortunately their time is up and they retire gracefully.

He must have a rock solid contract that IPT can't get out of. $5m is his legacy...

Think Froome could take over your jobs quite easily, the channel would be more interesting and would have way more viewers, goodbye nobody’s 👋

It feels like a situation where the team would be better off just paying him to go away, and it's kind of hard to imagine thats not a better situation for him too. If he wants to still ride his bike, do it for content for the team or himself, or for fundraising or any other capacity than sucking in world tour races. It just seems weird all the way around
It's like nobody wants to lose in the deal, so instead they just all lose.

OK, let's stop this BS..."keep riding Froomey...bla bla bla..." Yes I agree that the horrific accident Froome had, took a big toll on his body and mind. By saying that, even if Froome got back to his level again, to the level when he was winning all those Grand Tours, nowadays it would not be enough. He would have to be much better, because todays riders are at a different level. Not only because of bike technology, but the technology of training, eating, drinking, thinking, AI is breaking through etc. etc. Now I'll give you two reasons why Froome wouldn't have ever made it back: 1) Chris was 34 when he crashed...yes, 34 years old. I have nothing more to say here. 2) His physical body anatomy compared to Pogacar, Remco, Vingegaard, Roglic etc... is different. Nope, Chris Froome never had a chance. Yes, Chris Froome was a great cyclist. He won 7 Grand Tours (4X TdF) and many other races, but we have to put him in his own era of cycling. Today we can give him the best bike out there...the best technology and cycling equipment...he has no chance. Froome’s time at Israel-Premier Tech has been the worst cycling signing in world history. Millions baby, millions... Ad acta!!!

I totally agree. And the team could easely get a top Rider for the same amount of Money. And importantly get a lot more points.

I will take Patrick's views seriously when I watch him give up $2 million a year. I am certain he would not. Hypocritical in my view. Fromme can chart his carear as he see fit, and if making money is part of that, more power to him. Very rare that a rider has this kind of leverage, power over a team. If he is 1 in 100 with such power, use it.

It's so hard to understand what is the upside of Froome's career at this very moment.
Maybe he is against zionism, and wants to economically ruin Sylvan Adams? That would be kind of a lovely take on it.
Or maybe it is after all way better to make a very slow fade away instead of a bright burnout. Beats me.
Always good content from you guys. Best account around
