Hello my dear friends.
I am happy to share a new work from my workshop with you. This time, our story is about a Antique Bench Grinder.
In each of my videos, I deal with each scene I present to you separately and in great detail. I can't say it's okay until I reach the perspective and aesthetic that appeals to my eyes for each scene.
Your comments always make me very happy. Craft, aesthetics, perception, perspective, dimensions, distances... We have a lot in common with you.
I am very happy to be able to convey my feelings to you.

As always, I prioritized functionality, but I did not give up on aesthetic approaches.
I decided on aesthetic and beauty elements during work as usual.
I've done quite a lot of work, you will be satisfied with metal, brass, lathe, wood and welding workmanship.
I would like to thank my friend @meinemechaniker for sandblasting and painting work. As always he did a great job.
Also as always, my dear cat co-workers were very helpful in this project.

The time you took to repair the handle and the way you cut a piece of wood to fit was one of my favourite parts of this project. At first I guessed you would lathe a new piece of wood into shape, but you didn't, a very pleasant surprise. The other one was where you took the winged screw and, I think, you soldered(?) some material onto it. At the beginning, judging by the colour of oxidation, I thought it was copper. Only at the part you worked on it, I realized it was brass. I never knew the copper in that alloy could oxidize that much. I have to convey a lot of respect for the time you took in grinding, lathing, polishing, and, boy, how much filing you had to do to get this beautiful tool back to life. It needs a ton of patience to get this piece back to the state it is in now. I guess this project took at least a week. Thank you for making us part of that journey.

First of all, this hand crank grinder is an amazing find, well done! Secondly, this was truly meticulous work and outstanding result my friend. That nut was a trouble maker, I'm glad you decided to make a new one and use brass parts. Love the brass details 👌

Trying hard to figure out how I missed this restoration? All I know is I was happy to be able to see it today, late though I am, and just marvel and the ease with which you go about your restorations.
