8:30 one of these days you gotta take a trip to south califronia and try this on california flounder and see if that can if this technique and defy and concure there. they look almost identical to fluke but are over 20lbs even from the shore.

Do you prefer a certain tide for early season? Does it make sense to focus more attention on outgoing tide when the warmer water is getting flushed out from the back?

Not necessarily! You have to fish both tides to figure out when they bite. There are macro conditions and micro conditions that dictate the bite.
