sir i you explaining good but with this topic i am disagree..Electric potential is the characteristic of points in any field and if you put the charge on that piints so gets potential energy..plx watch pardep lecture over it it will help you

@@afnanbakht sir just electric potential by pardep on u tube..pardep gave much better conceptual explanation about this topic..sir lets potential only exist in field let take G. field so its direction always toward the earth and charatestic of the distance change against it.every point has its own characteristic when you move against the G field. and this characteristic called potential..when an object near to earth show low potential because of lower charactiristic and vice vers
