DID YOU KNOW THE BLOOD OF JESUS HAS GIVEN YOU ACCESS TO THE FATHER?
In the beginning, it was not so. God created the entire world, including mankind which he made in His very own image, and called His creation good (Gen 1:26). However, access was lost through the fall of man when Satan tempted Adam and Eve, which resulted in a domino effect (Gen. 3:6). From that point on, everyone was born into sin, which limited access and hindered everyone from true fellowship with God. Many prophets came as mouthpieces to share the words of God as the Holy Spirit moved UPON them. For atonement of sins, the blood of animals was given to the High Priest to offer unto God. Why Blood? Leviticus 17:11 says” For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” So, every 7th month and 10th day of the year, a High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies to offer blood for the atonement of sins (Hebrews 9). However, this was only a temporary fix because it did not change the heart and state of mankind until…. JESUS! The good news is…
Because of his death, burial, and resurrection, you now have access to the Father by one Spirit (Eph. 2:18). 1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV says “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”. You are now reunited and reconciled to God! When he shed his blood on the cross, the veil (every barrier and limitation) ripped into two giving us eternal access to the presence of God! And now, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us, lead us, teach us, and be with us. The Holy Spirit is a person who lives IN us.
Hebrews 10:10-18 is proof, because it says….
10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
