I feel like you could just say that you're a streamer, most young men will know what a streamer is, and then if they ask more than that you can just say you'd prefer to not talk about it
@corden826 the thing with that is if you don't answer they think you're an E-girl (or stream on other sites) and when you do answer that you play games they look at the (expensive rig) and ask what the streamer name is (assuming that the streamer must be big to afford good things, in this case, expensive place and expensive PC)
Yeah, same. Helped a couple of friends with some “minor” moves and it’s always like an apartment full of stuff. At least it was always other guys asking, so they helped. I’m glad Doki payed him, otherwise it would be totally not cool even if she is a girl lol.
Some years ago certain cosplayer that has nothing to do with Vtubers made the controversial decision of creating an OnlyFans but what she linked instead was just a Rickroll. I never clicked the link, so I spent months thinking she really had an OF. 😅
if someone asks why you have more than 1 monitor and you can't tell why, you are a video editor or programmer. no one questions it afterwords and having an NDA for it isn't a stretch
The ring light light, camera and mic stand might be a bit difficult to explain with that. (At least I think vtubers need good lighting for the tracking)
This is like the most difficult task a vtuber has to do, explain their job to someone. Doki should have just told him that shes a tomato entertainer on the internet
I'm honestly surprised she hasn't come up with a presctripted story of what to say whenever someone asks what she does. She could say she's an event planner and it wouldn't be a lie lol.
"Tomato entertainer" actually makes it sound like she's trying to create entertainment for tomatoes. And I'm not even sure if that actually makes it worse than the truth or not, tbh.
My guess is that the reason for being so vague about what she does is really a matter of keeping the irl and virtual identities as separate as possible.
I've only ever helped close friends move, and only in exchange for either them shouting a big meal or some other equal favor. One time, I was asked to help my roommate's girlfriend's sister move apartments. I quoted them an hourly rate.
He caught on that she wasn't on an NDA and just didn't want to say what it was so he thought "ok maybe it's something sexual since people are usually squeamish about that stuff"
What is crazy is the fact that people nowadays would ask something like that casually as if it’s an appropriate thing. Dude, if someone refuses to answer your question about whatever job they’re doing, you should probably just stop asking further right then and there.
I never get why Vtubers make answering that question so difficult. Don't be vague and don't say NDA as that makes people curious. Also don't say something that would make them want to hire you.
At least she should come up with a better excuse, or make up a more specific lie, like pretending she works for a company and that telling him about it threatens her job.
Well, it’s one thing if she doesn’t have a lot of money, but your job suddenly becomes more interesting to people if they know you’re wealthy. If she says for a company, people will ask what kind of work and why it makes so much? If she says TH-cam, streaming or video production, they’ll ask what channel and or what kind of videos. Same deal if she says voice acting, animation, art or playing video games, people will ask for examples or proof. She just has to tell them she can lose her job, if she says what she does.
Someone else commented on here a really good excuse "video editing + NDA" that way its like "I cant tell you who I edit and you shouldnt look for my voice cause it aint my videos" but its also reasonable to need 3 monitors
@@jomujomu7513 People don't seem to realize that saying "I can't tell you what I do" makes it sound like you're doing something illegal in Canada. I dunno what's worse. Asking your friend's friend if they do Only Fans or asking if they're still with Peter.
Do Only Fans with Peter

"its not onlyfans" sounds like something someone on onlyfans would say.
I mean I can imagine a really beautiful oshi irl now
If only Doki wouldn't say *NDA* he thought of something else
As the go-to guy for sudden manual labor needs, it is NEVER "just" anything. It is always, always, ALWAYS significantly more work than advertised.

I mean to be fair at least he thought she was attractive enough to make it as an only fans model

He probably still thinks it is only fans. XD

The fact he asked that means he thinks that Doki is pretty enough to have a successful onlyfans account
