I kinda agree, when looking back on the old days of jamaica, like in the 1930's jamaica looked like a peaceful and happy place. with a butt load of tourists. but i know for a fact that if we never gained independence jamaica would have been 10 times better and more racially diverse.

I see nothing wrong in being proud of having the opportunity to interact with such a person who one would expect only to see on the television or hear of in the news. Also... there should be great respect in shaking anyone's hand.
Nobody 'worshipped' this man. He was welcomed and entertained and hosted, just like we do when other world figures visit here, such as the Chinese Vice President, various African Presidents, US celebrities, etc. And as i said in a previous post, harry is an ambassador for the London Olympic Games, and it was only fitting that he come here, as we have the world's fastest man and various other top world class sprinters and champions, although that wasnt the only reason for his visit.
And my point is, we welcome EVERYONE of a certain status a particular way, whether they inherited or achieved that status. We are just as warm and loving to random visitors, be they celebs or not. I dont see what the problem is. Harry has come and left, and life goes on. Why anyone is sitting here griping about it, is beyond me.
Prince Harry is certainly intelligent, down to earth, charming, loving and pleasant. Finally, he's a compassionate human being like his mom, Princess Diana.

Ha. My dear, you are talking about the 80s. Yes, I remember the time when there were no dark tellers in the banks. But there are plenty plenty PLENTY of them now. The bank tellers now are pretty diverse - dark, light, male, female. Back then it was only young femaile brownings. But really, a bank teller job is no longer anything that people aspire to. People's aspirations and achievements are much higher than that. I take it you no longer live in Jamaica?
