T1N Sprinter Series - 08 - Alternator Replacement, 150A Swap for New Unit

The saga of my dying alternator is finally ending. Swapped out a Bosch style clone ("Premiere Gear") from Amazon for $163. I just needed something functional and I needed it fast. The replacement was pretty straightforward. Keep an eye out for my 5 year old son, Charlie, who wanted to do some videography himself today!

Hi, You can just put a screw driver inside the alternator fins and check if the pulley moves one way. When they go the tension pulley tends to move more,plus at tick over there is more engine vibration.
When you started it are all the dash lights that stay on due to you removing fuses or is there other faults? Hi from France 🙂

ABS, ESP, and Traction lights are on due to a steering angle sensor fault. I had someone swap out the steering rack and then got an alignment at a chain auto-repair shop. I need to get to a Mercedes dealership for a proper alignment and reset of that sensor or learn how to figure it out myself. Interestingly, I believe that those systems still function, just the lights are on. ABS works still at least.
