Yes but WWE saw this and decided that it would be best to make a company they liked to revive them up. Yes I mean TNA. As most people remember TNA (Impact) it had a deal with AEW. Mostly people tuned in for a bit. They even have people in TNA that were mad because AEW didn't really help them. TNA got worse over time. As you had some great wrestlers try and save it. They had small crowds which was still okay but not to the extent they needed it to be. So what TNA do? They went and did a deal with WWE and have been with the deal of NXT. That deal has shown to be better than the AEW one as NXT has made TNA rise. Even their crowds have come back bigger and better. As the crowd has enjoyed TNA and hopefully as they continue to grow we will see WWE, AEW and TNA as the major three options to go too in wrestling. Yes TNA has had some great stories as well and great wrestling too. So don't ever forget to mention them either.
Don’t think it’s fair to say “you shouldn’t care about the numbers”. Some people do enjoy the business side of it. I agree about the disingenuous part 100% but we all watch wrestling for different reasons.
What’s crazy is that the same AEW stand that are mad that people hate AEW are the same people who wanted WWE to go out of business for 20 years. I’ll say it for everyone who feels how I do about AEW: we don’t hate AEW, we hate the gatekeeping, basement mark fans and the booking.
There's literally no way of verifying that though lmaoo. From what I can tell it's just a bunch of people on both sides who blindly hate a company and/or product just because they don't like the fans of said company or product. To make it worse...they sit there and make up reasons (kind of like you did) to justify why they hate.
@@jamarbracey3778it’s not blind hate, and as a matter of fact I just told you my reasoning, so I’m not sure you’re very literate. And honestly hate is too strong (it’s hard to be invested in AEW to that degree), it’s more like flat out disappointment.
I only wish that AEW had gotten rid of Collision and made Rampage 2 hours instead. This way Eric Bischoff would have to rip his hair out as AEW produces 2 shows that outlast Nitro. Is it petty, sure but so is he.

Yes... "War". Nitro beat Raw in the ratings for 83 weeks. Dynamite hasn't had over a Million average viewers for 83 weeks. War. Don't get me wrong. I don't want AEW to go out of business. It's great that people have somewhere else to go to get a paycheck.
The only War is the one that Tony and Meltzer have tried to create. WWE might take a few jabs at AEW themselves, but AEW is not a threat to them. But there is also room for both companies. Tony just needs to start worrying about his own.
It's literally going to be on air longer than nitro..... Already damn near is. And cable isn't what it was then so your not even considering social media numbers. They are way better off than you think
"Vince Mac is not a good person", but he did employ the guy with the MOST make a wish wishes granted. I think it's just more complex than simple judgement provides.
I don't mind who is doing well, but I don't see how getting a future TV deal makes AEW instantly profitable and the 2nd most profitable company ever. No one knows how much they are going to spend in the coming years.
The main reason for WWEs crazy success is Roman Reigns tribal chief character & Vince stepping down which lead to Triple H taking over creative. AEW didn’t really make WWE better. WWE just made the changes that everybody has been wanting them to make, had nothing to do with AEW
I’m glad AEW landed a lucrative deal, but knowing the TV industry like I do there’s a couple little red flags that tell me the next three years will be “make it or break it” time for the promotion. The first little red flag is the time period. As I recall AEW’s original deal with Warner was for three years with an option for two additional years at an increased rate. Their new deal is once again for three years, but now there’s only a one year option. That’s basically Warner saying “You’ve got three years to grow the ratings or we’re done.” (For the record Smackdown’s Fox deal was similar with Fox having the option to move the show to FS1 after three years if the ratings fell too far short of expectations). The other red flag is the report that AEW’s new deal will see Warner take a small ownership stake in the company. Not enough to take it over, but enough to have an influence on the product and how AEW operates as a business. This one’s a bit of a double-edged sword because Tony Khan could definitely benefit from some oversight, but over the past couple years Warner has shown it’s a company largely run by idiots who couldn’t care less about the consumer. I don’t trust them to make wise decisions with AEW any more than Turner did with WCW, though granted they owned WCW outright whereas Warner only purchased a small minority share in AEW. All this is to say, the next three years will be very interesting for AEW. They need to step their game up in a lot of ways both on and off camera. When you’re number two it means you always have to try harder, and right now AEW seems too content with coasting on their hardcore fanbase.
This is a joke, right? Let's not act like no other wrestling company botches. Hell, Tonga Loa has had more botches than the whole AEW roster combined this year.
3 hours is too damn long hell no wrestling show should go that long including pay-per-views. Tony Khan is famous for 4-Hour or more pay-per-views. I wasn't forbidden door in Toronto a few years back and I didn't even get to stay for the last event because I had to catch Transportation home no wrestling show should be above 2 hours
I was rooting for AEW, but like it or not, Triple H has made WWE way better than it was under Vince's rule. Also, I just don't like the directions that most of the AEW wrestlers have been taken to. I hope AEW gets some form of direction soon
This is why I can't really watch your content anymore. This video was 15 minutes long and you provided no information about AEW's new TV deal or any possible downsides. It was just more internet-brained nonsense. I think the people who preach "just enjoy the wrestling and all the people you don't know getting loads of money" are just as bad as the tribalism guys. It feels like its all they talk about as well. I do not care that wrestlers are getting big contracts. If you're talking about safety and longevity from your wrestlers then you have to recognize how unsafe AEW is, evidently. But in this video, you may as well have listed off what you had for breakfast. The positivity stuff is all well and good but the end result is lukewarm. You never ask any questions and most wrestling videos of yours feel like a waste of my time. I'm not rellishing this comment because I've followed your career for a while and I'm not suggesting you've changed for the worse or anything like that because maybe you always had this attitude to wrestling. I just wouldn't expect that from your attitude to games.
Dude...... Your bitching about safety in wrestling.... But it's totally fine and awesome when they sent Cody out with a torn pec. STFU. This IS WRESTLING. You think this shit was safe in the territory days when they not only beat the hell out each other in the ring but had to worry about fans attacking them? Sometimes starting a riot.
I’m making espresso and misheard him I thought he was talking about Beth phoenix not penta and Fenix. I was really confused.
AEW isn't for me. But I don't understand people who yell at those who do. Like great, you enjoy that, I'll enjoy this, fine.
Be like Simon.
Nxt and smackdown should’ve got a lot more money.
AJ Styles needs to come AEW he's completed wwe and stale now
So i get to watch Raw on Mondays.
I dont watch NXT.
Dynamite on Thursday
SmackDown on Fridays.
This is nothing new.
Let me ask you this... what value tv deal did wwe have 5 years after their first ever show? 😅
Is this an actual deal or something still in negotiation?
Real!
Are you dumb? Legitimately?
I only wish that AEW had gotten rid of Collision and made Rampage 2 hours instead. This way Eric Bischoff would have to rip his hair out as AEW produces 2 shows that outlast Nitro. Is it petty, sure but so is he.
❤❤❤
Shockwave go be 2hours
I might actually watch this shit
I think tribalism is fading away because i would usually get maybe 30 hate replies to my aew is the best comment to a channel. Now i get only 5
I just think this video would be bad if Simon wasn't in it 😅
considering its simon miller channel, this makes sense as the video would just be empty
I NEVER like the term "Sports Entertainment."
Will AEW still be on ITV
You can't tell losers how to fill out their time better with something useful... They will just double down.
Can’t stand WWE. Watched it years ago. Don’t want it to fail. Not a virgin. Maybe that’s why?
WCW? Sting?
AEW ❤
Aew owners are rich so they ain't going anywhere anyways so why hate 😂
I think (WWE) RAW made a bad move with a joint venture with (Netflix)..... Can't subscribed to Netflix.... 😒
Really never watched (AEW). I'll check out a show or two...
This is an incredibly dumb take 😂. Netflix is the most popular streamer by a country mile, and the deal signed was for 5 billion dollars. AEW's was for just under 600 million...
@@zaneplatt3533 It's not about being smart or dumb! It's about Morals and Scruples... From the sound of it. You would probably enjoy watching P.Diddy & T.D Jakes perform in front of you....
Dumb take.....I forgot P.Diddy dance his way to become a Billionaire! Not, He performed Fellatio on some guy from Israel 🇮🇱 to get that Net worth....😒
@@zaneplatt3533 Maybe you are right! Because RAW are going to become more Uncensored anyway which means more foul language and Ratchet therefore they are a perfect fit.....🤔💭
I'm so curious whether it's Simon or me who lives in a weird bubble 😂 because I spend a lot of time online but I never see people hate on AEW and wish they go out of business 😮
Yes...
@@matthewhostetter8974tell me why NXT is on Tuesday nights and not Wednesday WERE IT STARTED again......
The only problem I have with aew is all the botches
This is a joke, right? Let's not act like no other wrestling company botches. Hell, Tonga Loa has had more botches than the whole AEW roster combined this year.
I never miss a dynamite or a ppv I don't see many botches the women sometimes but there more green to the profession
I'm sick of TH-camrs telling me why I should like AEW
Deal or no deal, AEW is dead. It's been run into the ground by Tony Khan himself.
AEW is just like ECW in 2006 in my opinion they have to much blood matches which is nasty
I was rooting for AEW, but like it or not, Triple H has made WWE way better than it was under Vince's rule. Also, I just don't like the directions that most of the AEW wrestlers have been taken to. I hope AEW gets some form of direction soon
Triple H is a legend for sure he hasnt made WWE better at all sorry but its true
Please don't even Compare a Giant to a Ant. Giant is WWE and ant AEW. And fans are WWE and marks are AEW 😂
Tell me you know nothing about the history of pro wrestling without telling me.

Is AEW still around? Wow. Good for them.
I am very glad AEW has received such a sizable broadcasting deal.
I do wish ROH would be on free TV.
