Been homeless for some time, but never hungry. Keep up the good work. The police never bother me while catching these little critters, so I eat well. I fish in Sand Creek, in Aurora Co.
Mud bugs. .... LOL... I have cooked up many times but the most tasty ones I have ever eaten was the ones from Louisiana where the place was selling them in 5 gal. buckets. They had them 2 ways. One was lightly spiced and the other was hot spice. Yummy.
good morning. I normally don't make comments, but I enjoy reading them. a couple of months ago I watched your shed hunting tips video. then I accidentally ran into more of your videos last weekend and binge watched about 12-14 videos our a weekend since my family were out of town. I enjoy your videos, both hunting and fishing b/c of the relationship you have with you & your wife and b/c I love hunting & the outdoors. we live in Colorado Springs and am excited to try crawfishing & kokanee fishing hopefully this year and explore different units (within about 3 hrs radius) for all big game hunting. last year, I hunted #78 during 2nd rifle for elk. I understand you guys moved back from Florida. did you guys move back to Woodland Park area? Thanks for your great videos and I'm excited to watch more as there are some I haven't yet watched. Cheers!
Thanks for your nice comment. We moved back to the Woodland Park area. Feel free to contact us at catchndinner@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thanks for the support!
Man I'm from Texas but lived in Colorado for over 20 something years and we used to live right across the street from Saddle Rock golf course in this apartment/ townhouse community and I would catch so many crawfish there and people thought it was crazy .....But it took me back-to-back Texas roots lol...
We lived in Texas by Galveston during our college years. We ate well! Speckled Trout, redfish, flounder and blue crab were staples of our diet there! We miss the seafood and the kolaches!
Nice. I do some night fishing there also and what I do is I bring my crawdad traps with me and with all the fish I catch I gut and use their guts for my traps. It works great. I bring my kids in waders and they catch them with their hands also.
Awesome video! I grew up in Loveland, CO catching them out of the bar ditches. Now we do the same thing with traps and by hand. Your recipes looked amazing! Well done 🦞 🍲
Love it broski I just got my first crawfish trap I live in Bennett Colorado but I'm going in a couple weeks because that's free food whatever you want to call them 😅😊
@Catch N' Dinner please give me an idea on where you two were fishing at eleven mile. My wife and I will be camping at the north shore campground this week and it will be our first attempt at crawfishing. Thanks in advance
Crawfish are found all throughout Eleven Mile Res. We were on the east side where there were more rocks and less people. A little secluded cove farther away from the campgrounds. You should do very well! Good luck!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed our video, and that we got you excited about giving it a try. We were crawfishing in mid June. Have fun and hope you get as lucky as we did.
@@CatchNDinner that would be a blast! My pup Charlie bear just got home from having a brain tumor removed so we have some months of strict rehabilitation ahead. Once he’s back up and running we would absolutely love to!! You guys helped inspire me to start making videos 😁
Love your show, but Zatarans and old bay is old grandma. You gotta use Louisiana shrimp and crawfish boil. Leave out the onions and take out the sausage for actual hot links And you are locked in for greatness after it sits about 3 hours. BTW, wifey is BLAZING 🔥🥵....Keep it up bro..
The 1st two stores didn’t have any at all. Finally found these seasonings in the 3rd store. Our choices were limited to say the least. We’ll have to order that one online for the next time! Thanks for the tip! 😁
@@CatchNDinner looking at trap sets in your video, the traps where left unattended overnight, without any clearly visible trap indicators of any kind for fishermen or swimmers. If you are not a newbie then you would know that you are quoting commercial regulations not recreational. As for our traps not being identified properly, you are incorrect as they definitely were.
Thanks for your comment on our archery mule deer video. I am replying here because that video was released by mistake since it needed a few more tweaks. We reposted it, so your original comment got deleted.
@@CatchNDinner np, I rarely have the time to set traps overnight so I had to find something to bring them in quick. Tho I wouldn't recommend using that kind of bait for long overnight soaks, they disintegrate after about 6hrs in the water.

Love this video. Biggest mudbugs I've ever seen, and your cooking is making me hungry. You guys are living the dream. God bless.
Thank you for your kind comment. Glad you enjoyed. 🙂

Sorry to hear about your situation, but glad to hear that you are able to eat some of these tasty critters. How do you cook them?
Any restaurants buy them should try to sell them for a meal lol

Sounds yummy! Craving a good crawfish boil right about now. Time to go catch some crawdads. 😋
In Ukraine we boil it with lots of dried or fresh dill and dill seeds. Salt added. Mmm I love it more then any lobster or scallop❤
Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing.
I had said I was going to start buying me some crawfish traps. I think it’s easy and simple. Keep up the videos. I love them.
Thanks! We have a link to the traps we bought if you want to check them out!

Crawfish are one of my favorite foods I don't get too often. Those were huge.
Yeah those crawfish were pretty tasty. The big ones looked like mini lobster 🦞
Great video ~ good job picking up the crawfish
“I’m no chicken” 🐔 🤣😂🤣
I live just up the hill from where you were catching those. This Cajun might just have to do a crayfish boil next year.
Awesome! We are still salivating just thinking about the boil we made with those tasty critters. 🤤😋

One thing to remember is that; it is mandatory to have your CID# on any trap in Colorado
Correct. We had our name, address, and CID # labeled on each trap just to be on the safe side.

Don't forget the claw meat.
The claw meat is the best. We ate all the claw meat from the bigger claws. I showed how to extract the meat from the claws at the end of the video.
Try catfish bait balls next time, I live in the area and Ive found it brings them in quicker and in larger quantities than cat food.
Thanks for the tip, we'll have to try that for sure!!

I thought using traps at the Reservoir was prohibited?
No, it is not prohibited. Some people even use them commercially to catch crawfish on Eleven Mile.
Mud bugs
They sure have many names, but one great taste. 😋
😂
Bummer you should have let that juicy one breed.
We let all the little ones and egg bearing ones go. As you could see, there are plenty of crayfish in Eleven Mile!

Didn’t even know Colorado had crawfish
Very few people seem to go crawfishing in CO, maybe that’s one reason there are so many. 🤔
