This was song number 2 on the album. Comes on immediately after Fight Fire With Fire. Best one-two punch opening of any Metal album. Though I remember talking to a guy I knew years ago and he made a good point that if this whole album had the production quality of Master of Puppets this would be considered Metallica's best album and I have to agree with that sentiment. Still this album just blows my mind as it doesn't sound like any other Metallica album or any other Metal album but it's own unique thing.

Early Metallica is the best, first 3 albums w/Cliff on bass, check out anything from their first album Kill 'em All, some of those tracks are fast and heavy it's ridiculous, so damn fun

The guitar solo is one of the best in thrash. You can really hear the master of bass, Mr. Cliff Burton. In Nomine Patris et Filli et Spiritu Sancti.

The album is called ride the lightning it shows it on the cover on your video the second studio album 1984 I think is the best album they made every song is a classic
This is easily my favorite Metallica album. Production was great, Burton was a monster and you can definitely tell Dave Mustaine had major influence on it which threw gas on the Metallica/Mustaine feud.
From the intro track Fight Fire with Fire to Call of Cthulu, just epic.
No offense to Dave here, he did recieve some credits for the rytym spider chords. Kirk absolutely destroyed this solo and had nothing to do with Dave. It was just a fantastic solo by Kirk, onstage my favorites of all time. I can't say that about any of Megadeaths solos, and they are my #2. #2 for a reason. Metallica knows how to put down a good riif and solo without over complicating it like the minority "it's not complicated" heavy metal losers. You should thank Metallica for your little band even existing. They paved the way for heavy metal bands
Ok man you need to really hear me. Your reaction is the first time I enjoyed pauses during a solo. Especially this one. Possibly my favorite Hammett solo of all time. And this is why. I felt the emotions you did. I was totally in the moment with you. Because of your genuineness the experience was perfect and the timing of your pauses without even knowing the song were impeccable. Your voice is quite a bit louder than the music. IMO your voice is too loud. I have have some decent Altec speakers and they clip when you yell or holla. I know for me personally it would be nice to have then level or maybe the music up on you a little bit. Thanks for working to always make it better. Keep climbing my dude!
