Completely agree. She has got a lot of hate over the years but seems so sweet and genuine and she is insanely talented. She has the voice of an angel. I've followed her since the very beginning and I can't understand why she hasn't made it to superstar status. The interviewer even says that Nic Nac "wanted to get her before anyone else" when referencing why the minute she turned 18 they started dating. Men over sexualize the pureness of an underage girl and set out to conquer them. Every time someone dismisses this behavior is a loss for women.

Even though I don't know Pia Mia at all, I still feel so proud of her success. I remember when she just sang covers on TH-cam before she started working on her album and I was blown away by her voice and thought she was absolutely gorgeous. So when I see her having the chance to live her dream, it makes me happy for her & it's really great that people can make it that come from areas a lot of the world tends to forget about. I feel like she put Guam on the map in a way it wasn't before, which is something she can be very proud of also because she loves where she comes from and I don't think she'll ever lose that.
As far as all the comments I have read here of people literally picking apart her looks to the slightest details, it's extremely disheartening that we find this to be acceptable. That we can't just let people grow famous and be genuinely happy. How many people get to accomplish their greatest wishes, especially if they have the talent and not just the money/connections/shock-factor? How many of you will achieve your biggest dreams? Everyone wants to be better than yesterday, but nobody wants to help someone else get there?
