Sachin has lived his role as Khansaheb. I find him extremely irritable as Mahaguru but here in Katyar he simply excels.

I saw the movie on day one. I was very highly important no , bowled over by this masterpiece. Having seen the Sangeet Natak on TV recently via U Tube Chromecast Combo , the only thing I can crib about is that I wish the songs should have lasted much longer than they did.
overall a five star movie. Can be seen and understood by the non Marathi audiences as Khan Sahebs dialogues are in khaalis Urdu and the English subtitles are very handy...
Magic.....Ya nanter ashi movie zalich nahi...Zee team we are awaiting for your next such type of musical wondering film...

कट्यार काळजात घुसली हा चित्रपट मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीतील मैलाचा दगड ठरणार याविषयी दुमत असायचे कारण नाही. मला असं वाटतं की श्वास चित्रपटापासून मराठी चित्रपटाने कात टाकायला सुरुवात केली. हरिश्चंद्राची factory , मी शिवाजीराजे भोसले बोलतोय, देउळ आणि आता कट्यार काळजात घुसली आणि यानंतर १ जानेवारीला नटसम्राट - अद्भूत. मी कट्यार काळजात घुसली चित्रपट एकदा INOX मध्ये बघितला पण तहान भागली नाही. I wanted to live that heavenly music, live those wonderful dialogues, live that thrilling experience in theatre once again. So, I watched it again. सर्व कलाकारांचा अप्रतिम अभिनय आणि काळजाला भिडणारं संगीत. Truly, an epic musical masterpiece!!! This movie propelled my interest in classical music and I can definitely say that about others as well. I don’t understand classical music. But, its soulful, melodious and relaxing. I think this movie connects classical music to masses and this impact is another kind of success of कट्यार काळजात घुसली.

They say the old dreams never die, the past never really ceases to exist! I never thought a story of our direct decedent peswaji madao rao II will come alive again!
But here it is, the story of my land, the actual palace, the fort, the nira river,the court, the musicians, the ramnavami all set in scenic bhor!
ps: the 3rd decendent is still alive and we are blessed on the helm!

एवढी चांगली कलाकृती इतर भाषांत डब केली असती, तर मराठी चित्रपट सृष्टीचे अनोखे रूप जगाला पाहायला मिळाले असते. पण झी स्टुडिओ ला जरा सुद्धा या चित्रपटाचा प्रचार करावा वाटला नाही.
