Doug was disappointed that she turned on him but when she mentioned "sunny day" and talked in code, he was relieved and happy that she truly loved him or at least forgived him
False. They had an understanding and she knew the agent was over her shoulder so she spoke in code and Doug was watching. She missed him. But they couldnt.
1:50 Ben's acting here is so on point. When she emphasizes she really wants to see him, he is deeply agitated and sad because he thinks she is out to set him up. Then after that inside joke, his face shows relief and astonishment, followed by true happiness. When he looks up and then gives that slight nod, he also seems impressed with Claire's creative thinking.
I haven’t seen the film but what does she mean by sunny days, I know she gives a hint to him that the FBI are with her but how does he know the code? What does sunny days mean?
This whole movie. When I first saw it. This was a great movie. Probably best I’ve seen in a while. And I first seen it 10 years after the release!! This movie slept on
You think she’s snitching…..but she ain’t. She goes to the window to make sure he can see them in case he’s watching her and then says “sunny days” as code. No better partner than that….
@@cccc9911which part was clear? The part where she’s on a recorded line? The part where she’s got her apartment full of cops? Which part made it clear she wasn’t snitching?
This is Brilliantly portrayed... when she said "sunny day", he knew she still loves him, revealing a setup that he will be killed.... And when he said, "I'm on my way then", she somehow knew that he will be gone forever...... beautifully filmed..
I watched it with subtitles and understood that she warned him somehow😐.. Bt can somebody care to explain, how did he guess it, through 'the sunny day' phrase?
The Feds and police just make themselves seen in the windows. That's not how it went down in Heat; Det. Drucker concealed himself behind a curtain and would try to spy down at the street, waiting for car driven by Shiherlis (Val Kilmer). Moreover, despite having way more eyeballs, law enforcement still don't spot Affleck. This was a pretty silly misstep.
I like that the lawyer - the guy trying to keep an innocent person from going to jail - is portrayed as the pipsqueak here. That being said, it was a really stupid move by Claire. If they stayed on her and found that money she gets at the end, that’s the rest of her life (or the part that counts) in prison.
I remember seeing this in the theatre and when Claire mentioned “sunny days” people cheered. Such a good movie

She didn't "turn on him", she had to do what she had to do. They already suspected her of being involved in the first robbery of the bank.
@@jamesd3168 facts Doug understood
No Huey!!! En serio?!?! 😮 😂

@@elizabethfigueroa6159 thanks for giving me the answer. Finally i know that Claire mean that she want to save Doug from the Cops.

Me too. I just love how they wove in that little detail that she mentioned before. I was in Charlestown on Saturday, I thought of this scene 🖤

@spking4149 Because she fell for him...and he was honest with her. Plus....did you REALLY think he wasn't gonna get away?? Lol
This is one of my favorite Boston movies, and this is the scene that makes it so. Everyone's acting their hearts out here!

Sometimes you can sense what's really in a person's ❤️.
It's fiction, he was probably thinking about what he is gonna eat after a long shooting day
She did a code word that's why he's happy.

Claire says something about how her brother died from cancer on a sunny day, and how a sunny day always reminds her of her brother
I Iike the ending. Good movie. Glad they let Doug live. ❤
She's a g for that. Great movie
now he knows she actually loves him, it's more than universe to him
Its sad enuff for my own heart to see what sacrifices take place to show the strength love takes part in this scene
1:03 I love this shot
Wait--I thought they both knew about that window from earlier in the movie. She moved from the couch on purpose so he can see her.
I definitely thought he was kidding (until this scene ofc) - I assume Claire did too.

What does he have the money stored in at the beginning?
Champion
Wait how did this cash get there? Was this from the Fenway heist or Fergie’s money?
It was all the money he had saved from previous heists. No one stayed with Fenway heist money at all.
