"Murder is Easy: An Intriguing Tale by Agatha Christie" Agatha Christie's 1939 novel, Murder is Easy, offers a fascinating exploration of murder and deception in a quaint English village. This captivating mystery follows Luke Fitzwilliam, a retired policeman returning from the British colonies. On his train ride to London, he meets an elderly woman, Lavinia Pinkerton, who shares chilling tales about a series of murders in her small village of Wychwood under Ashe. She believes a serial killer is systematically eliminating people and is on her way to report it to Scotland Yard. Tragically, Miss Pinkerton dies in what seems like an "accident" shortly afterward, sparking Luke’s determination to investigate the string of mysterious deaths. Luke travels to Wychwood, posing as a distant relative researching local folklore. There, he meets a colorful cast of characters, each with secrets to hide. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a sinister web of motives and deceit. The community appears quaint and friendly on the surface but harbors dark undercurrents of jealousy, greed, and revenge. Luke's search for the truth becomes increasingly dangerous as the real killer realizes they are being pursued. Christie's narrative skillfully builds suspense and keeps readers guessing until the final revelation. The novel delves into themes of justice and morality, questioning how easily evil can hide beneath a veneer of respectability. Murder is Easy stands as a classic example of Christie's ability to weave complex plots with keen psychological insight. It illustrates her mastery at depicting seemingly ordinary people committing extraordinary acts of violence. Fabulous. Thank you Alan Fordyce. I’ve read all Agatha Christie books decades ago now , adore her writing and love listening to them again on TH-cam. It’s wonderful. One line that stands out for me in this story is Bridgette’s line “Like is more important than love, it lasts”. Simply true. Agatha knew about human beings and life that’s for sure! 😁❤️👏🥰
One of Agatha Christie's enjoyable stand-alone mysteries. A thrilling dénouement and chilling motive revealed in the final twist. Thank you for uploading.

I enjoy all audiobooks narrated by Hugh Fraser. The story is intriguing, but way too many ads! Not good for bedtime listening because of the ads. I'll finish listening in the car. Thanks for posting this story.
