this is kinda heartbreaking to watch. with their seemingly lack of willingness to learn combined with the awful performance of whatever version theyre playing on, it bums me out that this lp isnt as hype as i woulda wanted like... seeing them go out of their way to choose the easy challenges and feverishly checking every few minutes to see if they can move on to the next stage just makes the whole thing seem super phoned in at this point.
I think that they genuinely think the game is bad so they don't want to put the effort in. Like 95% of their gripes can be fixed if they knew the mechanics and could read the goals better.
The constant checking to move on is what bugs me most. It doesn't feel like they're even TRYING to have fun. They're just going, "We did THUG 1 so we have to do 2 because people liked it. How fast can we shit this LP out? What is the bare minimum for progress?" I would rather have 100 episodes of Woolie doing EVERY GOAL in this game than even the entirety of the KOTOR 1 playthrough.

The overwhelming amount of lore in general that Matt, Pat, and Woolie have to retain must be staggering if they're confusing Phil Margera for Don Vito.
Considering the message they left in the comments of one of their THUG1 videos, I feel like these guys have at least a bare minimum amount of humility. On those grounds, I doubt they could ever be compared to DSP. That, and they don't seem like the kind of amoral asshats who would go back on a $1,200 pledge promise. Also from what I can gleam (I think they mentioned it in ep1), I don't think they're using a proper controller.

Since the last episode came out, I beat the game on Sick difficulty just to prove to myself that all these goals were possible because Woolie has done such a bad job doing them that I doubted they could be beaten and my early life was actually a sham.
Some of the goals for Sick difficulty are insane, I could never do it as a kid. I mostly remember getting stuck at the level with the beach, and not being able to get past it.
Crazimo Australia was a tough one. The challenges that stumped me when it asked for a crazy high score at the arcade machines. I didn’t do one past Barcelona cause I knew I couldn’t do them with how bad my characters stats were. The other challenge of Sick is the requirements to improve your stats are very steep. My favorite was getting 6 sticker slaps in one combo to improve my Ollie’s.
FatPanda54 I found the easiest way to do the arcade machines was to find some place to grind that was a loop/endless grind, then spam the hell out the buttons to change tricks. If you’re lucky enough to not fall off, you could have the high score pretty easily. The goals I had the hardest time with were the ones where you had to do tricks on a certain path of objects, and I remember Australia having a really BS goal like that. I could probably do it now, but when I was a kid I just didn’t have the dexterity for it, my fingers weren’t able to move fast enough.
I just....I cant stand it. The level begins...AND IT FLAT OUT SAYS that Phil is the character that will tell you to leave the level...but they just...they JUST KEEP TALKING TO HIM!!!!
This playthrough is, like, almost up there with the Kotaku journalist taking like 5 minutes to complete the tutorial in Cuphead: It's a complete ass disaster, but I can't help but watch it.
It's fascinating to see how with LPs like this, a lot of people start giving the guys X-Pac heat or even post-WrestleMania 33 Roman Reigns heat. Though I also think SBFP tend to rush and end up making things harder for themselves out of fear of not being entertaining enough. Like when they did the Jetstream Sam DLC for Revengeance and Matt told Pat to get on with it while they were exploring Sam's moveset. It's okay to take a breath and settle down, we're not expecting speedruns.

My 12 year old brother at the time, who wasn't very versed in TH games, was able to beat this within the span of around 4 hours.
On easy I can I complete this game in 15 minutes. I was hoping they would set it to normal.

Switch to the GC version. Having less buttons forced them to optimize them. Also the 360 isn't emulating this very well.

I don't really count one-offs, since those are more of a "why not kill an hour and check this out," kind of deal. You gotta commit to an LP, which says a lot about your work ethic when the unfinished ones start piling up.

At this rate, I highly expect The World Destruction Tour to spiral out of control until someone (my money is on Sparrow) preforms a kick-flip on the Infinity Board, erasing half of all realities in the multiverse and changing the fundamental laws of nature, thus beginning the fantasia age.
I honestly think Woolie's more sensitive to feeling anxious about his playing than anyone else. They ought to compromise for that or he'll go on a Mat-esque hiatus

Woolie is definitely trying and its sad cuz there are some cool things in the game, but without a willing co-pilot they miss out lots of stuff.
Back to watching two people ignore all the things they were taught to do while playing the other tony hawk games and inevitable end up making men cringe on the over thinking of simple tricks XD
at least we know this is not going to be a 80 parts LP
