- I'm going to talk some history on the Glock, we will take a little closer look of the Glock G17 Gen4 4.5MM BB gun on the table top, and then I'll discuss the main reason why YOU need one of these for your training purposes.

Of course ive got mine a few days ago and i already got 7 different blowback replica bb'guns and this one is by far the best one . long time ago i wanted to get one on these even if it was meaning going on black market to get it but soon after my first blowback airgun ive got addicted and came to and understand that the price versus the sound versus shooting everywhere in my appart versus finding a place in the wood to shoot .....all that and many mores reason made me understand that these blowback guns are becoming for me an my generation all i always wanted in gun...i mean the only difference i definitly see is the airgun does kill and 99% of us who want a gun is for target shooting anyway...

Not a huge G fanatic myself.. But do own two 4.5mm Glocks. The G17 gen3 dual-ammo - and this gen4 BB pistol.
"Same" G17 - but completely different from each other. This gen4 BB pistol is one sweet replica - while I enjoy more shooting the other one. The gen4 trigger is very fine, locking even back on empty - while the gen3 pellet pistol's trigger it a bit stiff to be replicating a true firearm trigger. The gen4 accuracy and blowback is okay - while the pellet G17's accuracy and blowback is just fantastic.
Never got myself of those gen3 BB Glocks because own a HK VP9 from before with the same magazine type, which provides a one awesome blowback and good power output - while though giving the slide a shorter travel.

I absolutely love these airguns. The realism and quality is top of the line.
I own a Umarex Glock 19X, a Glock 17 Gen3, a Glock 19, and I loved the Glock 17 Gen4 so much, I bought 2 of them.
Theres a few more models that Umarex has produced, but for whatever reason I dont think they are sold here in the states.
The Glock 22 and the Glock 17 Gen5.
If anyone knows where or how I can hold of those models here in the United States please let me know.

The best one is Glock 17 generation 4 I found the other Generations on eBay the website where they're made is umarex but I guess they're so popular they're out of stock at the moment I only found them on eBay

I got my Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 blowback BB airgun (manufactured by KWC of Taiwan) a few days ago, and of all my replica airguns it is now one of my favourites, along with my Springfield Armory 1911 A1(also manufactured by KWC of Taiwan). I'm very please with it because it's a very faithful replica (minus some very small details). Only a few negative things about it: the slide locks back after the magazine is empty but only 3/4 of the way back (don't know why that notch is this long to catch the locking tab on the slide?), and the "paint" or finish on the ejection port cover is getting scratched by the slide movements. But all in all, a very enjoyable airgun. BTW, mine is really accurate, but I've seen reviews of this airgun shooting low out of the box. Great video on the history of Glock. Thanks for sharing.

Just picked up one of these, and love it so far. I feel like mine is shooting extremely hard though, which is great. About 70 degrees F, brand new gun, new co2, firing .32 bbs across the property without issue. My question is, is it common for glocks to lose the paint on that piece of the slide that makes contact everytime you rack it or fire? It sucks it's a new gun and already has paint worn down.
Yeah it seems to be an ongoing issue, lube it to reduce the friction. Replica guns don’t get the same paint grade as firearms. There’s nothing wrong with a worn in gun anyways!
Awesome vid man! I wish Umarex will also make G19 gen 4 with blow back feature. I have the gen 3 non-blow back and I love it. The accuracy and high fps is great but the downside is non-blow back and a stick magazine. I wish Umarex will do G19 gen 4 with same specs or even better than G17 gen 4. I don’t like the newer gen-x or something.

Very difficult gun to acquire. I waited close to a year and stock could not be found anywhere. I found one falsely listed as a Glock 19 on Ebay and recognized it immediately as a 17 gen 4. Got lucky and won the auction. It's my favorite air pistol.
I waited 5 days
No stock in Canada. So I bought one from USA Airgun depot. Hopefully it passes customs. It’s sold here in Canada so I can’t see it being a problem unless they take it to seriously as a replica gun.. cheers

almost 4 years late but I figured I'd still ask. Does this fit in real G17 Gen 4 holsters? Only asking because some airsoft glocks dont have the same dimensions as the real steel versions.
I am in the US. I own a real 19 Gen 4, 17 Gen 5, 26 Gen 5. 9mm is very hard to find now and if you do you will pay $50.00 USD for a box of 50. I am going to get the Gen 4 Umarex air pistol and airguns are allowed to use at my range so my wallet will be happy.

How do u know when the co2 is in all the way? Yesterday I put in a co2 and idk if I tightened it to tight or loose because all the air came out when I tightened it and then when I took the co2 out the tip wasn’t even punctured all the way
You just answered your own question I think. Screw it in until you can screw it in anymore. It will tighten right up, after puncture keep tightening till it stops.
You know any good modifications for it? I'm looking to put a red dot on it possibly. Also, hello fellow Canadian 😂 just ordered mine from AGS.
I don’t really modify my guns. I also wouldn’t recommend modifying a replica co2 pistol. Not really designed for it, they’re made a lot cheaper than firearms. I may get my slide engraved, that’s about it.
I purchased a gen4 last week to train my daughter in gun safety!! Question: Does the gen 5 come in .177 co2 or just in 6mm softair?
There is a Glock G17 Gen5 in pellet pistol version available at @pyramydair no BB version that I have seen.
I'm curious what's the difference between the Canadian version of this compared to the American? Does it have 9x19 displayed on the slide, can you dismantle and clean etc?
There is no difference that I am aware of. This one came from Airgun Source. 9x19 is displayed on European versions, but not sure about the USA in comparison. I haven’t looked that deep.

Really? Remove the plastic plate on the bottom by pressing the button and sliding the cover off. Unscrew the bottom cover with the provided Allen wrench, place the co2 inside and screw somewhat snug and that’s it...

This isn’t an airsoft version in this video, it’s a 4.5MM Steel BB version. I’m not too up on airsoft, I’m sure another great TH-camr could tell you.

It’s a tad tight but my laser flashlight fits on the lower rail.

Hey, I got a question. So on the umarex website I saw that this airsoft has a velocity of 350fps. That being said, the law state that a non restricted firearm should have a velocity greater than 366 fps but lower than 500fps. Since this airsoft has a velocity lower than 366fps it is not considered as non restricted firearm but as a replica which are prohibited firearm in canada. So how is this model still sold accros canada im confused.
Because they don’t really care about the semantics of it. It’s approved in CANADA until bill c21 becomes law. So buy it now.

That’s cool, it’s a lot more “clanky” than this gen 4, I owned it before this one.
I just got mine today and I don’t know why I’m having so much trouble loading the CO2 in. The cap is giving me so much trouble screwing in and it always looks angled.
UPDATE: I got it in but screwed it too tight and it shot the Allen key out. Wasted a canister
If you haven’t been taught the trick to lining up threads. Place it on top as straight as you can, screw it the wrong way until you feel the threat seat (almost a click or tick) then screw it the correct way.

Looking for some assistance. Bought this gun a little over a year ago. Didn’t get a chance to use it right away. (Past warranty). The mag drops out whenever I fire a shot. Bought another mag to see if that was maybe the issue. Same problem. The mag release appears to be OK, no worn of broken sections. It works fine if I hold the mag in. Any assistance would be appreciated. Also wondering if it’s possible to reverse the release from right handed to left handed. I’m a lefty. Anyone tried that ? 🤕🤕
What pistol is it for starters? Most of manufacturers will still be able to assist you a little. The Airgun community is small, and most of the companies care about their customers. Where did you buy it?
Sorry, it’s a Glock 17 Gen 4. I bought from AGS. They were great, however their hands are tied as far as warranty replacement or repairs. No parts available for these guns, according to Umarex. I’ve sent an email to AGS at their request to be notified if they ever get one in that’s inoperative to use for parts replacement.
Oh boy sounds like you may be in trouble. Let me ask my umarex connections if they know the issue at least and see if we can solve it

There are plenty of other airsoft versions of most replicas.

@@northballistics Got mine saturday and it shoots the steel 4,5mm rounds but is completely missing that silver hopup thingy.. wondering if they got rid of it on later version or something. No hopup ”icon” on the box either.
@@Makkino no idea what you’re talking about, the Glock series gen 3 and gen 4 did not have any sort of hop up adjustment that I’ve heard of, again it’s very rare on steel BB. You see it more on airsoft versions.

I believe it's like this because there's not enough power in c02 to have it a tighter tolerance.
