Great review Phill, that looks like a really useful addition to the workshop, I've considered getting one of these machines in the past, but that was one of the abrasive wheel cutters rather than this TCT which is much longer lasting and cleaner cut ! I have a jig for my 230mm grinder that does a rudimentary attempt at a similar job but it never feels that stable and safe ! I also have one of the Evolution sliding mitre saws with the multi-material blade, which is excellent, but I always lock off the sliding mechanism before cutting any steel in case it grabs !
Cheers Andy! Yea this design with the TCT blades seems to be more stable and cuts cleaner. I have used my evolution sliding mitre saw to cut metal also and lock of the sliding feature as you say. They are ok for smaller pieces of metal and if you don't need to make too many cuts.

Looks good
Hi Phill, looks a decent chop saw and a powerful 2200 watt motor, cut through any thing As always a good honest review and great video take care
Cheers Shaun 👍🏻 it does seem to go through anything with ease. Clean cuts too. I think it's all about the high quality blades.
Great review
Thanks!
Hi, I bought this chop saw a few days ago and i had a few problems with 45 degrees cutting , do you know why?
Hi, what was the problem exactly?
Great review bout without saying how firm does it sit when not bolted down
Thanks 👍🏻 it does sit firmly. You just need to place the handle back into position after use and not just let go as it is spring loaded.
