He isn't really a stand-up comedian... He is hilarious, and a really good performer, but sure he did start of as a stand-up but I mean come on, he grew into the role of the slightly over the top weird guy. And man does it allow for a lot more of his personality to show off, and his playfulness, just regular stand up is extremely hard to do well, some few jokes here and there in a performance makes for a much easier and a still enjoyable feeling. He's just a naturally funny guy, whom you can't help but love.
They swap it during the live show as Noel is left eye dominant, meaning he sees out of his left, and walking around in the dark performing with your good eye blocked is a dangerous idea.
My answer is that of Noel lol I asked that question of him at The Boosh Live show in San Diego during the Meet & Greet, you have to imagine from his perspective but the polo is essentially a wobbly eye patch with a hole in it that is right next to his eye.
The Hitcher is the ultimate nightmare alter ego of Les Claypool from Primus, even with all the characters Les already has. What happened to Mr. Hitcher's bass playing thumb?
Is that a serious question? Music credit at the end of every episode. th-cam.com/video/xl89RGIe17c/w-d-xo.html That's Julian Barratt. He doesn't just play guitar, but he composes, mainly, on guitar.
Gotta love the Hitcher :)
“Fuck off? Imagine how weak the show would be if I fuck off. Imagine what an improvement it would be if you do.”
Gold.
I really wanted to go to this show but I was too young to go at the time, I hope they get back together and do one last tour
Hitcher is my favourite character from The Mighty Boosh!!
I would kill for a HD audio quality version of this
Ai upscaling
I went to see this tour in Bristol and the whole show was completely amazing.
Damn, julian's pretty handy with a guitar
Yep, damned good.
Bigglesworthicus I think he wrote most of the music
Until the spirit of Jazz gets him.
Right?
He taught Alan Holdsworth
Wish I was there lol
I saw this with my dad when I was 7/8 yeas old
+Voodoo Murderous Your young as shit....
Depends on the shit boy?
Wow! You were young when you saw this boy!!
He makes a Jimmy Savile joke, and then a rape joke; and they've got nothing to do with each other.
Ah, the pre-2011 days...
Maybe he did it on purpose in a sly way
It was well known back then too... It was known back in the 80s as well.
Bloody 'ell! Just can't have enough of the 'Itcha'! And Rich Fulcher's cockney isn't too bad.
" Don't slip on the cobbles boy , They're covered in blood , That's right it's your own " .... Man what a line , This song is full of them!
The piper Twins...... There's three of em ;)
So this is Queen, yeah? Not bad! I figured Freddie would look different but steeeeeeel pretty good, boy!
Fucking hell what a crossover
I would love to know what happened to the giant inflatable eel at the end of the tour. What a garden ornament it would make!
The Hitcher is one of the few characters that can actively insult his audience and threaten them with rape and murder...and they'll cheer him for it.
I now realize it's real: Julian is a jazzist!
@JimmyTheKiller it grows any time he needs a ride, it's one of his powers
This is why I don't understand when people say Noel is a bad stand-up comic
He's a performance artist. Very abstract.

Many of his sets seem so aggressively anti-comedic, more of an audio-visual assault on the audience than entertainment.
completely different skillset.
@@jazzy4830 yeah but he's really trying to play his own heel. The whole show is really an ode to how much of theatre/ music nerds they are.
isn't the white circle thing on the wrong side of his face?

aahh, really, I didn't know that. Well, that makes sense, thanks for sharing. :)
it might be that the edges around it that obstruct full vision. I don't know. It would bug me, at least, regardless of side.

its the solo polo vison
That awkward moment when you're singing shit about eels and one shows up!
The Hitcher is the ultimate nightmare alter ego of Les Claypool from Primus, even with all the characters Les already has.
What happened to Mr. Hitcher's bass playing thumb?
Julian
Julian is hilarious.
Does anyone know where to find the full thing?
Am I the only person finding Julian Barratt INCREDIBLY SEXY playing guitar??? 😍😍
Are toasted elvers really that delicious?
I haven't tasted them yet, but I reckon they are.
Shame there never was a Luxury Comedy live show.
Where his thumb gone??
Its not in any of the other episodes
The part man, part hornet took it back. His mother kicked him out again when she heard.
Probably emptied of the puss 😂
Apples and pears and various other fruits
since when did julian barrett learn to play the guitar
fair enough
Cause hes a jazz maverick
Always! He went to school for music I believe.

What? Where have you been hiding, a Chinese tea cup.
Shite like this would never get away today
You sure about that, boy
@@gonjafarma89 Yeah. I'm sure of it. You must not live in the West.
It's like a pantomime with more rape jokes.
Be about your dark, foul business, Phillip.
XD
this crowd is terrible
