PlayStation Access is my Comfort Blanket to come home to. I don't want this team / channel to ever finish. Genuine, knowledgeable, fun, good, silly, wonderful, decent people who are an absolute joy to watch.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 train climax in The Christmas Maze was honestly one of the best bits of content (live stream, VOD, even scripted TV) I've seen in years. The Christmas Maze was very much part of my Christmas like it was with Dave's. There is a very good balance of personality in the team and I love every episode. (I was rooting for Robert S. Pearson though.)
Rob has a great voice for hosting so this was even more of a joy to listen to. That being said, I think it would be awesome if they each took turns hosting a season or every other episode. It would be cool to see how they'd put their own little twists in hosting the podcasts.
STREET SHARKS!! Yes I remember those too! It was an animated series and only one of the four brothers had rollerblades. I had the hammerhead and the great white guys as a kid.
The toys had rubber mouths so you could bite things. There was a cartoon (obviously) that I have little memory of. Also this made me remember Gargoyles.
@@Eaglesoars8891 My god Biker mice from mars... you've just unlocked long forgotten memories for me. I also had the Hammerhead and Great white toys..good times
Just wanted to stop by and say there isn't another channel that comes close to the joy and passion that you guys bestow onto myself. It motivates me to continue to create and pursue my true passion of gaming! Love you all and I appreciate how hard you work.
When I cannot find motivation to write the script of my youtube videos I always put on this podcast and it brings me so much joy hearing you talk about the games you love that I feel motivated again! Happy new year to the access team!
2022 was strange in the way that I didn't buy a whole lot of new games but the games I did buy were bangers. The only on release titles I bought were Elden Ring and Ragnarok and both of those games DEVOURED my free time. Then as per usual I played a whole lot of Horizon chase turbo, dragonquest builders 2, Dark Souls 1-3 and my favorite Indie Salt and Sacrifice. Salt and sacrifice is criminally underrated I feel
For the outstanding New Year-themed names, I propose: Rob is "Year of the Robbit" Dave is "Every Dave I'm shufflin'" Ash is "Kicking Ash and Takin' Games in 2023"
The Christmas Maze is my favourite part of the year. It's actually so well done. I felt the ending was a bit too easy on the challengers but the whole thing is fantastic anyway. You should all be really proud of how it turns out every year. Chrissymassy special was awesome too. Love the channel year round but the Christmas event is my favourite.
I was watching the newest episode of the podcast while up late with my newborn daughter. Loved all of the holiday content and the recent livestreams to bring in the new year. Rob, I also had Street Sharks when I was growing up. If I remember correctly, they were based off of a 90's cartoon show of the same name over here in the states. Keep up the great work! Your fan from across the pond
The event Rosie is looking for is the Meiji Ishin, or the Meiji Restoration in English of 1868, (hence why the game is called Like a Dragon Ishin,) I should know, I wrote my Master's Thesis on it!
I have serious Netflix syndrome when it comes to my game catalogue, I sit there browsing and contemplating for ages without actually playing any of my backlog. My New Year Rosielution is to make a meaningful dent in that backlog and to hopefully add to the Platinum tally! Thank you all for the wonderful content, the 2022 Christmas Maze had me grinning from ear to ear.
Dave, if you see this, you can talk to me about Midnight Suns. I really enjoy it too. Took a break after I got a game breaking glitch in a side mission and just reinstalled it today actually. Still has the bug, but I picked a previous autosave and then chose a different side mission and was able to progress more and even got another trophy. There's definitely something about the game that (especially if you're a Marvel fan) makes the experience really enjoyable. I do look forward to more fixes though.
Happy to see the podcast back guys! Think i agree with Dave im most hyped for Jedi survivor gonna be sooooo good, When we saw the stag fighting the ghost in Skyrim on the Xmas maze was absolutely hilarious classic Skyrim antics hahaha
*Final Fantasy XVI* because of course ($300 price tag is... uh... another issue though). But also, eversince I discovered Nioh2, *Wo Long* is the other game I'm so looking forward to. Its NOT a Soulslike as some think actually, but that works in its favor IMHO. Nioh2 is the best I game I played in years, its up there with Bloodborne and DS3 (though for different reasons. Highly recommend it! So yeh, FF and Wo Long.
I will be interested to see the Plucky Squire now. I am not a fan of Devolver's art style in their past games, but am a fan of substance of their games.
Rob I remember having the same street shark toy as a kid for Christmas too! They were like TMNT but a gang of sharks no? Was a great TV show back then!
Pod squad Great episode guys. This was definitely a great start to my birthday and made me feel a little bit better with the fact that I’m halfway to 50 I’m a big fan of your channel. You guys do an awesome job at what you do. I always have a huge smile on my face after watching one of your videos or streams Keep it up
OMG! Rob bringing up Street Sharks! That was an awesome show and toy line! Just pull up the intro on TH-cam. It was great! Also, if you haven't watched the Harley Quinn series on HBO, I highly recommend it.
Rob, the most rewarding things in life and the things that will make the biggest positive impact in life are always the hardest to do. If you encounter something difficult you should be motivated to overcome it, NOT shy away from it.
My Platinum resolution for this year is to have all three for Mass effect legendary edition. Is anyone else in the access office looking to add those to their resume? If so it would be amazing for a Monday stream down the road/relay!
My main games for this year are Star Wars Jedi survivor Final fantasy 16 Spider-Man 2 Hogwarts legacy Resident evil 4 remake And ff7 rebirth if it makes this year
I finally got my ps5 December last year and i platinumed astro in 2 days after getting it. I adore that game. Trying to challemge myself to the time trials to see how high a ranking i can get. Theyre tough lol
I genuinely think Rob would make a phenomenal voice actor. His voice is such a joy to listen to.
Ok Rob go work on your backlog instead of making spam accounts
Yeahhhssssss
I wish they'd bring back the Friday Feature just to hear "Hello, you've just caught me" and the list videos are my favorites
He'd make a great Ratchet and Clank villain.
@@lambsauce54 I miss the Tuesday Checklists. 🥲

It’s amazing to both miss Ash and love Rob being in the chair, we’re lucky to have such an amazing team!

When PS5 Slim comming
The Christmas maze for me is all about the production and getting to see Dan trying to keep a straight face whilst holding the main camera.

Agreed. I would love if they took turns hosting.

"My excitement for FF7 Rebirth is like a dormant super volcano." So true Rob.
I love these people! Wondering why the US side of Playstation doesn't have a similar channel. UK knocking it out of the park.♥
My guess for Ron’s pun is Rob New Yearson, but I can’t think of any others.
New year’s Dave (too similar for them to both work)
Robert N. Yearson hahaha
Feliz Davidad? 😂
You took up the role very well Rob, you did great! I hope Ash feels better soon, it's not quite the same without her :)
This was recorded last year, she's fine now I'm sure.
The fact that Rob played with Street Sharkz is incredible!! Biker Mice from Mars too!!
Rob i just adore you! Make rob the host always
When I cannot find motivation to write the script of my youtube videos I always put on this podcast and it brings me so much joy hearing you talk about the games you love that I feel motivated again! Happy new year to the access team!
Omg shout out to street sharks. That just dislodged some long forgotten memory from my brain.
Proud Blu-ray collector here, David! I am one of those physical media nuts!
I remember Street Sharks! They had a Saturday morning cartoon like Biker mice
I looked up the adverts on TH-cam and although I never had any, I do vaguely remember them! ... _"Jawsome!"_ 🤣
I don't remember street sharks but great to come across someone who's heard of biker mice!

Oh cmon…the best new years name pun for Dave is: New Years Dave! Unfortunately I can’t think of one for Rob. 😂
Robmanay (like Hogmanay)?
I read further up in the comments. "Robert N Yearson"
Street sharks and biker mice from Mars! The 90s for cartoons was amazing
For the outstanding New Year-themed names, I propose:
Rob is "Year of the Robbit"
Dave is "Every Dave I'm shufflin'"
Ash is "Kicking Ash and Takin' Games in 2023"
The Horizon VR game Call of the Mountain is my excitement prompt. And the DLC Burning Shores. I'm all about the Horizon world.
Every time I hear these guys say “Pod Squad” I can’t help but yell out POD SQUAD with them! 😂 hope y’all had a great new year.
Hollow Knight Silksong!!! It's been such a long wait
Happy new year to you all of you on and off screen ☺️ great podcast and videos loved crystal maze

Hogwarts legacy is my most hyped game of 2023, can't believe its only a month away now :D
Miss your maniacal laugh and chaotic energy Ash!! Rob is a superb host as always
Yes, David! Some people do still buy dvds

Gaming resolutions. Get a Yakuza Platinum! Get to 400 Platinum's. Finally, get my backlog in order!
Aaaah, Street Sharks and Biker Mice From Mars, the toys and cartoons from that era were great!
Get well soon, Ash! Or hopefully be well already assuming this was recorded the other day.
Dave, if you see this, you can talk to me about Midnight Suns. I really enjoy it too. Took a break after I got a game breaking glitch in a side mission and just reinstalled it today actually. Hoping for a speedy recovery to Ash

Me: "Uhh..speak for yourself, mah boi."
Yes Rob! Street Sharks were incredible
This was the first ever Christmas Maze I've seen a OMG IT WAS AMAZING
Got my PS5 for my birthday this week, and playing Astro now.
Ash isn't currently feeling well at this time, I hope she feels better soon.
10/10 for mentioning Street Sharks and Biker Mice from Mars - Thanks Rob 🙂
Can't wait for all the wonderful content from both games and the channel ❤️
I still have all of my street sharks collection lol they were awesome.
😂 I remember street sharks, noone else I know seems to ever remember them.
I'm with Dave. Jedi Survivor has be so freaking excited. If I only get to play one game this year, I choose that one.

Rob with the street shark shout out! coolest toys ever
Ear canal is the correct term for ear hole as mouth is the correct word for pie hole. JAJAJA
Street Sharks are legendary! I had some too, the whale was extra cool as you filled it with water and you could squirt it from it’s blow hole lol
I will be interested to see the Plucky Squire now. I am not a fan of Devolver's art style in their past games, but am a fan of substance of their games.
One of my favorite podcast episodes.
Rob I had Street Sharks too!!! I specifically remember the tiger shark.
I loved Street Sharks! You're not alone there Rob.
Rob I remember having the same street shark toy as a kid for Christmas too! They were like TMNT but a gang of sharks no? Was a great TV show back then!
I’m excited for Lies of P, Spider Man 2, Jedi Survivor, and Breath of the Wild 2. I’m also hoping to get ever closer to 100 plats. Currently at 76.
I used to have a remote controlled street shark that would do a chomping action as it rolled along

getting the platinum for Midnight Suns was relatively easy because I had so much fun. I cannot wait to try the new characters in the DLC!
Hope you feel better soon Ash 💖🤗
Still Remember that Red Dead Redemption Train coming in clutch!
Must hear more about Fumito Uedas new game! Also whatever FromSoft is cooking.
OMG! Rob bringing up Street Sharks! That was an awesome show and toy line! Just pull up the intro on TH-cam. It was great! Also, if you haven't watched the Harley Quinn series on HBO, I highly recommend it.
(Pun name for Dave!)It's a new dawn, it's a new Dave and he's feeling goood 🎶
Oh my God rob street sharks was an amazing show and I had a few of the toys as well and biker mice from Mars is an absolute banger
Rob! I loved Street Sharks! It was a show and toys, yeah. Great memory!
ROB-YES STREET SHARKS! Totally remember those. My brother had several.
I remember street sharks
Street Sharks and Biker Mice from Mars were a cartoon in the US
I found the channel from the podcast as well. Listening to this whilst grinding out Powerwash simulator for my 900th platinum
I remember Street Sharks Rob. Had all the toys 🦈
Was poorly over xmas and enjoyed all the xmas maze!
Happy new year! 🎉
Cast that pod, yall!
No mention of the Suikoden remakes?! When Rob said two JRPGs I thought for sure it was on there. 😂
Yaaaas Rob! My bro and I spent days and days playing with Street Sharks.
I love how Rosie's first question is _" do they work underwater?"_ 🤣
@@krookedvulture lol I know bless her. Like yes the plastic shark does the same in water as out...nothing
Omg Street Sharks! Yeeeeeees.

The concept of the new Like a Dragon game kinda reminds me of Yugioh Duelists of the Roses on PS2!

Street sharks what a childhood memory 👌
I'm most excited for PSVR 2 🥳
My OCD is going crazy and I couldn’t take my eye off of the lit PS logo behind Rob not being straight 😣
First time watching the Christmas Maze this year (plus the revenge episode) and I loved it. I'll look forward to the next one.
My main games for this year are
Star Wars Jedi survivor
Final fantasy 16
Spider-Man 2
Hogwarts legacy
Resident evil 4 remake
And ff7 rebirth if it makes this year
Street sharks were awesome, back when Vin diesel was a baby and doing commercials
was watching the Plucky squire trailer as they explained it and it perfectly lined up with their words xD

Ishin isn't feudal Japan. It takes place in the late 1800s
