what kind of tool was used on the backside to complete the cut out?

Brandon Garlington The finishing tool is a 1/16inch, 4 tooth, radius mill. It just takes the sharp edge off so the bottle opener is comfortable to hold in your hand.

razor666666 Look closely! The way covers are installed from the factory by HAAS. They have not been removed, this is a stock machine.
