@@andreasschreiner9123 because the tire is bigger I have 2inch rear suspension lift. I used rancho rs9000 in the front shocks. 1inch body lift. And torque the torsion bars. Plus 2inch wheel spacers. It doesn’t rub anymore
The W163 ML's are amazing offroad, it can handle level 5 trails with ease, I also own one and I have done many similar trails driven cross country and it's still going strong ❤❤. I think the trail you just did is a level 7 out of 10 Incredible!
The W163 has actually aged quite well and considering you've have to pay $50-$70K for a G Wagon to do the same thing its a well kept secret. The new Uni-bodies could not take this kind of punishment. I cant's decided whether i prefer black or silver.
w163 is not a unibody, it has an H frame. But I agree with you on the G Wagon. The preference on these model is whether you should get the V6 or the V8 and I preferred the V8.
@@supremeautomotive6749 the things that I do with this rig, I’m glad this has a V8. Sounds better and I could put bigger tires in the future. check out this vid, you'll understand why V8 is wise to have. th-cam.com/video/N87siA5jKtI/w-d-xo.html

Great skills, you obviously know and can wheel your ML! In the comments you mentioned that you have a 1" body lift and 2" spacer with a 285/75-17 combo which is about a 34" tire! Just curious what your MPG is now and how much did it effect your turning radius? Also, did you re-index the torsion bars? Keep them coming and thanks for posting!
@@Ottoaerial thanks for the results on your build, very helpful! I owned a w163 20 years ago and actually really miss her. Trying to find another one to build an Adventure Vehicle without breaking the bank. Noticed you have CA plates, if and when I start a ML build maybe I'll bump into a trail or two. Keep the build up!
@@rondetorres3842 price on these rigs are inexpensive these days. You can put big tires on the 5.0L Hopefully you get it again and modify it cuz these vehicles look great. I get mad props when driving.
I have the same ML500, mine in black I love it both on and off the road. Reliable and powerful engine. The roar of the V8 is lovely

I couldn’t agree with u anymore my friend! I have owned a 99 ml430/05 ml500 and man solid solid v8’s !
Looking for ml350 3.7 2005 do you recomand ?@@Ottoaerial
I love the way you handle this ML.. it’s not only the car , but your skills to feel the way the car supposed to be driven ❤❤❤
I appreciate that. Thank you. I love this ML

I've got a stock 2000 ml 320 with 255 70 r16 tires thats got a minor front wheel grind from the inner wheel wells on tight turns.

Thanks for sharing. Looks awesome on the bigger tires

Great vid! Tires and clearance. I lifted mine 3” and have it on 285’s. Handles of road much better.
Thanks. I'm happy with the clearance.

the turning radius is still the same, doesn't rub anywhere. I did not reindex the bars. 17mpg highway and 12-14mpg off road. thanks for tuning in.

Love the play by play coming down the staircase! Also where do I find a spotter/camera lady like yours? 👍

Aren’t those wheels too wide hitting the mudguards? Looks nice though
Also owning 2 so far great old cars !
the tires were hitting the fenders before the lift, but its not touching anymore with the 3 inch lift and with 2 inch wheel spacers
What size wheels do you use, bro

Yea the whole time
Sedona...my place of Peace.
I love this place. Full of tourist including myself.
Is it in low ramge anytime in this video?
The whole time I was in low range
Wish they did a straight 6 in these
In-line 6 would be more reliable than v6 and be more efficient in fuel too.
Where did you buy it?
Bought it from the dealership 🤓long time ago. But now you can buy from anywhere for very cheap now
