A show I watch (set in the 1930s and 40s) with the best aprons! Women wore them to cover as much of their clothes as possible, so they are basically perfection in a busy home with plants, animals, and children. Love the apron and the dresses ❤
Such a lovely video...beautiful surroundings, browsing deer, watching you make soap; and especially your words about how God sees us all as beautiful! LOVED all your new [to you] dresses, and your carefree modeling style! May the LORD continue to bless and grow your channel! ~Pam
I read that you can wait overnight before cleaning up soap making instruments since what is left is so little that it turns into soap quickly and then you don’t have to worry about splashing chemicals anywhere. It is just soap then! Also it is good to wait before you wash since the soap goop (before it turns to soap) can clog pipes really bad.
Keep up the amazing work! I LOVE your videos! Some drive me to try new things I didn’t think were in my capabilities… your devotions are beautiful and inspiring too! Very nice dress choices!
Your dresses were beautiful Shayla. I loved them all. They were so you. I loved this video. I needed to hear the scriptures today and your talk on body image. Ty.
I absolutely love watching your videos. You encourage me to keep doing what I am doing! I do many of the same things you do (except I have not conquered sour dough bread! YES....I keep watching your sour dough video over and over and over. My goal is to conquer it this year!!!) 😊You are awesome. I find peace and joy watching...maybe even validating my lifestyle in watching someone else find joy in all the everyday things we do. Some find my making soap, or making everything from scratch, or gardening, raising chickens, homeschooling (in the past), fermenting, etc, etc...."weird" and too time consuming, but it brings me joy and happiness. I love seeing your smile and your fun ways in sharing with others that it is joyous to do these things and serve those around us through our abilities. Also...I am 63 and wear dresses above my knee! (hey, that rhymes!!) lol YOU DO YOU!!!! You are too cute! Keep up the great work!! You are appreciated! ❤
Ok now after watching the whole try on haul, these dresses are STUNNING on you! Totally your style! Thank you for sharing this with us. As usual, this entire video was lovely, encouraging and full of beautiful cinematography! Thank you for being a light on TH-cam during such uncertain times in our nation.
Those soaps and herbs look wonderful! You're very talented. There's nothing better than the scent of real lavender and I have them around my house. Years ago my long term partner left me very unexpectedly. It was a tough time after that, BUT amazingly, what I did notice was that the scent of lavender shampoo and lotion and essential oil room spray does really give a sense of well being. And it was very effective at helping my mental health bounce back. Aromatherapy is truly amazing! And before that experience I don't think I particularly put much stock in it.
I also love the bramble berry calculator. I use it every time I make soap. I've never made goat milk soap, but I make lard, tallow, raw milk, various oils. I make all unscented because I hate scents ;) I make a nice lavender and oat soap too. I tried selling it and it started out well, but I don't have social media so it didnt really take off like id hoped. I do sell to some friends and family still, they love it. I love it! ❤
I have this 'problem' too. No FB, or instagram, and no time to do craft fairs. So even tho there are those that like to buy things from me, there is no where to 'market' what I do. & I am just not that interested in having social media, because I can see that for me all the photographing & figuring out the technology would take time, time away from what I want to be doing. People are always badgering me to 'sell' stuff, but I just can't figure it out.
@@pattyhansen7563 yes! I know what you mean. I don't want to be on any social media, but unfortunately it seemed like that's the way it works. So I'm content to not sell much if it means I can avoid social media!
Lovely video! You looked amazing in all of your new outfits! ❤ I love using ThredUp! I have heard you mention a few times now that you mastered in Herbology. If you felt comfortable sharing, I would love your advice/recipes on herbal remedies for little ones. 😊
I totally feel the same as you about Goodwill. Look at you and your modelling dancing! You and I both like a similar boho style. I do so much love the main dress you are wearing in this video while you are talking (the one with short sleeves and orange in it). I have bought and sold clothes on Thred Up! Your cute apron styled sundress and apron are also so cute. I do need body positivity since giving birth in my older birthing age. I was used to another body size since becoming a mom 17 years ago and now it is hard. Very hard. I always loved the verse that says beauty is fleeting, but now I am seeing it starting to go more and more into action and that is not fun! haha. Your soaps are amazing. I don't think I'd want to work with lye, though it so reminds me of reading old books where they washed clothes with lye! Ahh!
That doesn't surprise me that we have the same tastes in boho clothing! So fun! It is hard getting used to all the changes our bodies make. You are beautiful, Victoria!
Attitude has good lotion, but you might use castor oil mixed with jojoba for dry skin. I've heard coconut oil can mess up the skin's microbiome if used too often.
I would love to know how you dry your herbs- do you air dry or use a dehydrator? Also, you might want to try making tallow balm for an affordable moisturizing cream! I make tallow balm for my kids with eczema using tallow I order from azure, olive oil, and essential oils and when I did the math it came out to less than $4 for each 4 oz jar!

I very much like your dresses and especially the dance you did. You're so cute!!
I've been collecting and rendering beef fat since I first saw you making soap! So excited to try it out soon!
Keeping the soap warm is just for gelling. It's not very important unless you want your soap shiny and/or added colors to stand out 😉

I make a charcoal acne soap with bentonite clay for my 13 yr old son. Sorry for all the comments, this video is my jam 😂
That soap sounds wonderful!
Love this!! Can you please link your older soap making video I cant find it. Thank you

just a thought, have you considered selling your homemade soaps on your website and through this channel?
I have, but I just don't have the time or the brain capacity for that at this time. Perhaps once a couple more kids graduate.
Tallow I think is made from suet specifically, the fat around the kidneys - beef fat should be close enough!
