The last time i asked why the uk has different colors of number plates on one vehicle but I didn’t get an answer

The front plates are white, the rear plates are yellow, it's just a rule we have. The plates are made of a reflective material, so at night it helps you to tell whether the vehicle is coming towards, or going away from you.
