  • In celebration of Black History Month, MLK Library hosts a tribute concert and conversation with Henry Threadgill, the Pulitzer Prize-winning jazz saxophonist. Henry Threadgill discusses his memoir, "Easily Slip Into Another World: A Life In Music" with co-author and jazz historian Brent Hayes Edwards. Jazz educator Paul Carr leads the conversation, the the Paul Carr Legacy Quartet provides tribute entertainment. This program sponsored by The DC Public Library Foundation, and the Anacostia Community Museum.

    Great to see and hear Threadgill getting this kind of tribute and recognition, a one off genius in American jazz.
