- This was our first and not our last time to Cayo Largo. This resort is great, food and drinks are good you will find what you need. the property is clean and well maintained. friendly staff really nothing to complained about. Keep in mind that this island is to relax as there not much to explore and not much culture to learn from. You can rent some scooter and ATV's, go on a Catamaran excursion like we did which is pretty awesome, go in the small town to get some gift and go visit the aquarium with sea turtle that was not open while we stayed. I'll be returning but at the Starfish soon I hope. let me know know if you have any recommendation.

Marco, it's John from Cormwall, Ontario (Cornwall Johnny.....lol). Your butler from the Royalton was not there during my time there so I was not able to say hi to him for you. Thanks for all the videos on the Memories Cayo Largo. Looks like I'll be heading to this resort (Memories Cayo Largo) in late April. Regarding the umbrellas on the beach. Who would I speak to to get one? As well does the beach ever wash out due to high tide? Do they offer sparkling wine? Thanks Marco.

as for the umbrellas if i recall, there's a little building on the beach with a guy working there that will provide you one.
on my stay the tide was pretty low. Do keep in mind that the beach isn't wide. Not to far from the resort there's a beach called Sirena. The a shuttle that will bring you there's every few hours or you can pay a taxi at 2$USD. There's a bar and a grill that's included in your package. The water is calmer and the beach is way nicer as well.
They do have sparkling wine.
P.S. i might go back in July as well but ill be trying out the resort next door at the Star Fish.

Sunwing is offering from Montreal a Diamond room for $1085.00 on April 28th. And......is there any regulation regarding a 'Neso Tent' on the beaches? Many thanks Marco .....
@@pensionat60 i dont think you should have any issue with one of those tents. I havent seen one in Cayo Largo on my last trip but did see a few in Cuba Before. As for the Diamond club in my opinion it's not really worth it unless theres not much of a price deferent. I dont think the Diamond club is also associated with a specific bungalow. If you can get bungalow 36,37 or 38 you will have the ocean view and a magnificent view of the sunset. 100% try to get one of those rooms.
Thanks for sharing this video. There is little information on this resort since Sunwing took over the Island. Was the food and drink selection ok?
Thanks for the feedback. I would say 90% of the food comes from Canada with a pretty good selection. I’ll b posting another video shortly with more information
Leaving tomorrow, how were the bugs?
Compare to Cayo coco n Santa Maria there was no bugs but keep in mind we were there in December. The first 3 days it was pretty chilly 22 Ti 24 degrees n windy. The next 4 days as was 28 n 29 extremely hot but still no bugs. We r now in punta Cana at the Royalton 😎🏝️
