Anyone else think its awesome that they get the actual voice actors from the series their doing that month. I can't wait to see if they get inuyasha's voice actor when they do that one or Steve Blum when they do any of the many things he did.
Yea me too. It was great! Like u I to hope they get Inuyasha's voice actor from the werid " Inuyasha" because in the final act seirs his voice changed and sounded weird.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
Just recently watched the show and the movie, so this was a great surprise. It's awesome you guys got the voice of my favorite character from the show to do this episode!
I agree with you on Madhouse, but Bones would be pretty great too. Kekkai Sensen is a series based on a manga from the same guy as Trigun that Bones is doing right now.
I'm not sure if a reboot is really needed. I enjoyed Badlands Rumble, and could easily see more being made. Just a slice of time in the lives of our old friends.
kingofpop581 With one exception of having Legato more like the anime, because comparing the two in the manga he is a weaker character. But a reboot like that would be amazing and could be title Trigun: Gunsmoke.
kingofpop581 I'd have to have 2 requests if they did that, 1. you have to get as many of the original voice actors back, brotherhood only changed al and scar, so far as I can tell, and that makes it even more awesome 2. they cant chop up the beginning of the series because its a retread like they did with brotherhood. Ultimately, brotherhood suffers because of its weak beginning, so whenever I recommend it to someone, i tell them to watch the original first, because those beginning episodes are much better. But then again I never read the trigun manga, so it could be completely different.
VonDelacroix To be fair, the reason why Brotherhood did that is because the last anime had just finished a mere 5 years earlier. They just assumed that you saw the first anime hence why Brotherhood's first few episodes felt a little rushed. Trigun would be more like Hunter X Hunter (though for a much older audience) due to the amount of time that's passed since the first series. They could redo the whole thing properly without upsetting anyone.
I missed not hearing Jeff Nimoy in the movie. That made me sad. But it's nice to hear him doing this trivia and it's very appropriate. Miss you good sir!
Dude, we need a Trigun: Maximum anime pronto. Fullmetal Alchemist got Brotherhood, after all. I know Trigun may not be as big as FMA, but it's only fair!
I've heard this guy only in one show, but he's always had my fan love. I was bummed he wasn't in Badland Rumble, but I understood why he wasn't....BUT STILL, dude was great.
God, I used to be so obsessed with Trigun. Wolfwood was my favorite character too, I was so sad when he died. Great job getting Jeff Nimoy to voice this!
We love you Jeff! Your character was just as cool as Vash. There wasn't a lot of great English anime dubs at the time but Trigun was definitely one of the great ones.
Thank you. I feel it was about time to get a DYK on Trigun and having Jeff give out the facts feels like a nice tribute both for us and trigun itself. Thank you.
This video was a lot of fun to watch, I've always loved Trigun since I first watched it so it's fun to learn more about it. Ever thought that the black cat being in every episode is why Vash is so unlucky?
Excellent review of an exceptional anime. Very philosophical and sophisticated at times, and very intense, entertaining and beautifully arranged with atmospheric surroundings and brilliant music. I don't usually watch many anime series, but this one stayed with me since I was a kid. I also love Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha, those were on Animax when I was younger. Also, DB and DBZ for the win! I shall subscribe, for Love and Peace!!!
Jeff Nimoy! XD And is it sad that the only thing I'm surprised by here is that I never really understood the title of the show until it was pointed out to me just now? Tri-gun=3 guns. . . wow. . . ~On a random note, I bought this manga progressively for my brother over the course of 1 year. As of now it is still the only manga he's read, let alone owns.
I always considered the name "trigun" being that most revolvers have 6-shot chambers, and that most of the time vash is kind of absent minded, that the name TRI gun means hes only half a revolver, much like the phrase "not playing with a full deck"
It's cool, as long as Nightow keeps bringing the awesome. I can understand him wanting to keep his personal beliefs more enigmatic. If anything it brings more attention to what he is showing us in his work because art and stories come from our hearts. If characters like Vash and Wolfwood came out of his mind and heart then there are some wonderful things swirling in his soul. God bless him. I cracked up so bad! They thought you sounded like a chain smoker??? I guess there's a bit of a husk but you sir also have a very pleasant, friendly and warm voice. Also sounds hilarious when you are irritated XD Thanks Mr. N!
funny story. me and a friend took our two favorite characters from trigun and Final Fantasy and fused them. he was Clash (Cloud + Vash) and I was Legion (Legato + Leon aka Squall). Good times.
well it was more of a fusion of looks, my friend was also working on an story with them. it was really cool... but after his computer died it was never seen again :(
Hearing that Jeff Nimoy is still available to do things like this makes me crave a Trigun reboot even more so I can hear him get into the role of Wolfwood again! AGH MAKE IT HAPPEN SOMEBODY!
Fantastic. I loved Trigun because I think there's a serious lack of good Gun Anime shows. Please do an episode of Black Lagoon. That show was based heavily on the mid 90s pirate activity. If you could... Ask Revy's voice actress to give the facts.
i have a theory that Dante and Virgil from Devil May Cry 3 got inspired by Vash and Nives them being brothers and both having simmeler weapons and color preferences let alone personalities just with a bit more edge to them
I think the connection between Dante and Virgil's namesakes kind of kills that, and I think the color pairings is just coincidence. Also Devil May Cry doesn't take inspiration from Japanese works, to my knowledge, and stays unconnected to westerns as well.
One fact that shoudl been mention was that due to the amount of love for the show he decided to show off the Movie in the west before it even hit theaters in Japan . first showing was a Sakura con Seattle WA. few days before it theaters in Japan.
I was confused about the pronunciation of "Trigun" for some time. I heard the announcer at the end of a promo for Trigun pronounce it "Tri-Goon" and I said it that way for better part of a decade.
me not reading the title: "haha wow this youtuber sounds like wolfwood, does he know he does??" reads the title: *mouth drops* even though i just finished trigun, hearing wolfwood's va voicing got me emotional ;_; and that's why theres so many nicholas clips...LOL
AHHH! I want to watch this right now, but my boyfriend would kill me if I watched this without him. Trigun and Bleach are what got him into anime in the first place!
thats was fucking awesome my favorite anime of all time thumbs up for jeff nimoy also did you know he did a lot of the English dub writing for digimon?
Anyone else think its awesome that they get the actual voice actors from the series their doing that month. I can't wait to see if they get inuyasha's voice actor when they do that one or Steve Blum when they do any of the many things he did.
It is awesome. I loved when they got Tai's VA in the Digimon one.
Yea me too. It was great! Like u I to hope they get Inuyasha's voice actor from the werid " Inuyasha" because in the final act seirs his voice changed and sounded weird.
Anime "Inuyasha" my bad for some odd reason it spelled werid instead.
DaCasNation Inuyasha still has the same VA in The Final Act, bro.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
I think he forgot to add just how sick and twisted the original manga was.
Legato is a cannibal, by the way.
They are great comics, trust me.
On par with Berserk and Akira.
Jonathan Harvey not even close.
Ok, Akira is astounding and Berserk brought me to tears, but Trigun is still pretty damn good.
I prefer the anime thpugj
Never read that one
Currently stuck watching One Piece and Fist of the North Star
Jonathan Harvey Legato was also a sex slave as a child *tmyk*
Wolfwood died for our sins.
Lololol
Amen!!!
Aru aru!
Aru aru!
+superspaz117 worst joke ever.
I remember when I started watching Trigun, and asked myself "Why call it TRIgun? Vash only has one gun!"
Boy was I wrong.
Just recently watched the show and the movie, so this was a great surprise. It's awesome you guys got the voice of my favorite character from the show to do this episode!
Woah, I used to watch your videos years ago when I liked Sonic.
If Trigun was rebooted to follow the manga, I hope Madhouse does the animations. They're artwork and coloring is amazing.
Kingsmashman the movie was made by Madhouse , I don't see why not
rafael roman We can still hope
Kingsmashman there is no harm in doing so
rafael roman Ikr
I agree with you on Madhouse, but Bones would be pretty great too. Kekkai Sensen is a series based on a manga from the same guy as Trigun that Bones is doing right now.
This series needs a reboot.
I'm not sure if a reboot is really needed. I enjoyed Badlands Rumble, and could easily see more being made. Just a slice of time in the lives of our old friends.
A reboot would actually work though. The manga is quite different, and continued much further than the anime. It'd be alright.
We need an anime adaptation of Trigun: Maximum
😮😮😮😮do you care to drop some knowledge on me I really like Trigun and I've never heard of Trigun maximum...
Why yes! It's the manga only continuation of the original series, set (I think) 3 or 4 years after the original.
Its been so long since I've heard your voice Jeff. Thanks for your work as Wolfwood and for another great episode of 'Did You Know Anime'.
lukeie2k8 Whoever they got for Badlands Rumble was just a poor imitation of Jeff!
lukeie2k8 Dude it's your* YOUR* :P You're is You Are
it'll be great if the original creator actually rebooted the series to follow the original manga like FMA Brotherhood.
kingofpop581 With one exception of having Legato more like the anime, because comparing the two in the manga he is a weaker character. But a reboot like that would be amazing and could be title Trigun: Gunsmoke.
Sounds good. The anime was already great without following the manga, so if it did follow it, it'd probably be better.
kingofpop581 I'd have to have 2 requests if they did that,
1. you have to get as many of the original voice actors back, brotherhood only changed al and scar, so far as I can tell, and that makes it even more awesome

Be careful what you wish for.
I could listen to this guy's voice all day I love watching Trigun when it first aired and listening to wolfwood talk
So good to hear that voice again. RIP Nicholas D Wolfwood.
I missed not hearing Jeff Nimoy in the movie. That made me sad. But it's nice to hear him doing this trivia and it's very appropriate. Miss you good sir!
This was awesome! Trigun is my all-time favorite anime, and the fact that they actually got Wolfwood's VA for this is just too perfect.
oh man its so great hearing Wolfwoods original voice actor again
My hero. ;________; I want them to make Trigun Maximum into an anime so that Nimoy can reprise Wolfwood.
I love that Jeff voiced this episode but to hear wolfwood tell me to not smoke... Brings a tear to my eye..
Grew up with this anime. One of my all time favorites by far.
Wolfwood has always been my fav character in this anime..thank you. :)
Gosh, I know he's Wolfwood, but for some reason, all I can hear is lower-registered Tentomon, and it's great. You're the best, Mr. Nimoy.
I love how these guys keep getting the old actors to voice these. It really makes this series something special.
Wow you got Jeff Nimoy to do this, awesome. I remember his voice from Digimon.
its so cool that they got jeff nimoy to do this episode...
I enjoyed this episode as always especially that Jeff got to narrate this one keep it up guys.
AnimeWolf7 It's awesome when they get a voice actor to narrate these - for the Tenchi Muyo one, they got Ryoko's actress.
Nice and yes it is.
Trigun was one of the first anime I ever saw so this episode was a real treat for me .
Didn't catch the voice til bout a minute in when Wolfwood's mouth was moving at the same time and my mind exploded
We love you Jeff! Your character was just as cool as Vash. There wasn't a lot of great English anime dubs at the time but Trigun was definitely one of the great ones.
my mind was going like "why does he sounded like nicholas??" *watches the video till the end* "he is Nicholas!"
wow the feels at the end. Jeff Nimoy is awesome
Wolfwood is my favorite character from Trigun, awesome Jeff voiced this!
I love that you get so many voice actors to do these! Hearing them again is so nostalgic!
I love Trigun, such a good series.
Wolfwood was the hero we needed but didn't deserve 😭.
I've been waiting for this anime since Didyouknowanime launched thank you guys a lot and keep uploading :)
Thank you. I feel it was about time to get a DYK on Trigun and having Jeff give out the facts feels like a nice tribute both for us and trigun itself. Thank you.
I like how at 4:23 you can hear Nimoy having to stop himself from laughing at the response to the black cat question.
I love the actors in these videos. Thanks, Jeff.
I love Jeff Nimoy's natural voice!
Cooking with Jeff Nimoy? Bet the food's full of mercy.
I was just about to say how your voice sounds identical to Wolfwood... I realized this is his voice actor haha
Jeff, plz join the rest of the old cast and do a Trigun reboot!
One of my favourite anime series.
I recently finished this anime and it was awesome. It's cool you got the voice of Wildwood to be in this video. 😁✝️
Hands down, Trigun is one of my favorite animes ever! LOVE AND PEACE!
"Needle Noggin" God Bless
I watched Trigun on Hulu and I loved every minute of it!!!!
Haha that awesome, i knew their was something about his voice hahaha Wolfwood was Awesome in the show.
This video was a lot of fun to watch, I've always loved Trigun since I first watched it so it's fun to learn more about it.
Ever thought that the black cat being in every episode is why Vash is so unlucky?
*When I hear that last fact* Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Now it makes sense.
I loved this anime and the manga! Such a fun series. I wish it had received higher praise and attention.
"see you soon needle noggins"
;-;
Excellent review of an exceptional anime. Very philosophical and sophisticated at times, and very intense, entertaining and beautifully arranged with atmospheric surroundings and brilliant music. I need to buy the manga. I've been meaning to get into this series since it's so influential.
OMG I love this! Thank you Nimoy
I never made the connection because I always thought of Angel Arm and Vash's revolver as the same gun, haha! I feel so dumb... :B
TRIGUN!!!
Love and Peace!
Jeff Nimoy is the best! (and the only Wolfwood for me!)
I just realized seeing Gungrave again, that I would LOVE to that guy in Guilty Gear as some gun toting analogue to Sol Badguy.
I love your voice !!!!
YOU ACTUALLY GOT WOLFWOOD
How did u get him?
Ha
I always considered the name "trigun" being that most revolvers have 6-shot chambers, and that most of the time vash is kind of absent minded, that the name TRI gun means hes only half a revolver, much like the phrase "not playing with a full deck"

Thanks Mr. N!
What kind of strings do you pull to get official voice actors to come onto each episode!?
awesome
Trigun has some of the most unique and badass anime charecters of all time.
I KNEW THAT HAD TO BE WOLFWOOD!
I always called wolfwood preacher man
funny story. me and a friend took our two favorite characters from trigun and Final Fantasy and fused them. he was Clash (Cloud + Vash) and I was Legion (Legato + Leon aka Squall). Good times.
That's pretty awesome. Cosplay for that would be pretty fun :p
yeah I just had the same thought ... i might try to do that some time
Clash should be fun. Not sure how legion would work though
well it was more of a fusion of looks, my friend was also working on an story with them. it was really cool... but after his computer died it was never seen again :(
I know your pain! I have multiple stories I was working on saved on a flash drive...somewhere.lol
This is awesome wolf wood actully voiced this awesome

BUBBLEGUM GUN You are everywhere.
Plexiglass Lofer lol i get that a lot
Hearing that Jeff Nimoy is still available to do things like this makes me crave a Trigun reboot even more so I can hear him get into the role of Wolfwood again! AGH MAKE IT HAPPEN SOMEBODY!
woah wolfwood!!

i have a theory that Dante and Virgil from Devil May Cry 3 got inspired by Vash and Nives them being brothers and both having simmeler weapons and color preferences let alone personalities just with a bit more edge to them
I thought the same thing. The concept of brothers cake from vash and knives and the design looks like it was inspired by that legato character.
I think the connection between Dante and Virgil's namesakes kind of kills that, and I think the color pairings is just coincidence.
Also Devil May Cry doesn't take inspiration from Japanese works, to my knowledge, and stays unconnected to westerns as well.
RikouHogashi actually, it's a common thing in Japanese media, to the point that it has it's own TVTrope. It's called Red Oni, Blue Oni.
The character of Nero was inspired by Alan Walker from D. grey-man
One fact that shoudl been mention was that due to the amount of love for the show he decided to show off the Movie in the west before it even hit theaters in Japan . first showing was a Sakura con Seattle WA. few days before it theaters in Japan.
I was confused about the pronunciation of "Trigun" for some time. I heard the announcer at the end of a promo for Trigun pronounce it "Tri-Goon" and I said it that way for better part of a decade.
I cried when WolfWood died
Thank you DYKA! And thank you Jeff Nimoy!
me not reading the title: "haha wow this youtuber sounds like wolfwood, does he know he does??"
reads the title: *mouth drops*
even though i just finished trigun, hearing wolfwood's va voicing got me emotional ;_;
and that's why theres so many nicholas clips...LOL
awesome video love it
I finished this anime today. It is now one of my favorite anime. Those being
5.no game no life
4.Trigun
3. Princess Mononoke
2.higurashi
1. Berserk
ha, I was at that panel at acen!!!!! Was so good!
AHHH! I want to watch this right now, but my boyfriend would kill me if I watched this without him. Trigun and Bleach are what got him into anime in the first place!
Oh, shit! It's been a year since I first watched this episode. Crazy lol.
I knew your voice sounded familiar.
Wolfwood !!!! XD yea !!!
Holy shit they listened my request, okay next up FRUITS BASKET and NARUTO and CODE GEASS
thats was fucking awesome my favorite anime of all time thumbs up for jeff nimoy also did you know he did a lot of the English dub writing for digimon?
Well, I just discovered this web series, so goodbye sleep!
Awesome video for a legendary anime.
Wolfwood is so me.
*Hears Wolfwood's voice* Eeeeh! *Fanboys*
Vash the stampede is virtually alien cowboy batman.
Awhh hell yeah. Trigun! Love and peace!....Wolfwood is doing this?! Fangasim.
This is awesome!
That's really cool that they got the voice actor.
I loved this growing up. I have often wondered what Trigun stood for. Now I know. Lol
We also love the voice actors of the series :)
