The higher the difficulty the harder this is to pull off, its relatively easy in 100-150% though.) Dealing with gunners: Grenade launcher can stun gunners (including Gaia’s gunners), If they’re close but surrounded by non-lethal enemies (Infantries), just land a direct hit and melee them twice, and they’re dead, giving you free health along with saving a magazine. If they’re far away you can still utilize the short stun it does if you ever need to (The nade launcher becomes easier to use at further ranges the more you use it). Spawnkilling: In certain maps like Dune (for the lower spawns), City, Coastal, and Garden it’s easier to spawnkill using grenade launchers. When noobs spawn, they’re all perfectly clumped up to deal great damage with a grenade launcher, use that to your advantage (It works best with Interplanar Device, for Parabolic Hydra it’s alright too ig) Boss shredder: Combo your nade launcher with your primary weapon to shred the boss’ health way faster if you can land direct hits at them. NOTE: Only exceptions are Prometheus, Hermes (99% of the time). Many people say harpoon gun is better to save ammo, but imo, the bolter doesnt consume THAT much ammo. At most 15% in siege. I like to use bolter with rallying cry because if you deal damage with ANY weapons, you can fill the rally bar including the bolter. So i prefer bolter than harpoon. Big damage 🤑🤑🤑
Would recommend to get familiar with the movement and speed and behaviour of the enemies as it will help you Infantry- strong when together with other infantries and group with shielders as well Shielder- goes in front in groups to block bullets Sabos- they strafe when not cloaked and you can see them a bit while cloaked Cloaker-they go in a different path than shielders and infantries to make a sneak attack Ranger- actively searches for players and shoots on sight Thats all for me really
As an assault main for dynamic, loadout order usually for me is either harpoon or bolter on wave 2 end, medic kit on wave 3 end, rpg on wave 4 end, depending if the boss is either Prometheus and Hermes, I choose rallying cry, if it is Gaia, rocket stormer, when wave 6 is completed, I get rallying or rocket stormer if I haven’t gotten the other, on wave 8, I get the jet pack, and on wave 9, aero or terminal, for the 19 reserves left, it is up to you on what you buy, but I typically get lifeline and teleporters to get out of a sticky situation and heal right after. And yea, that’s my loadout as an assault main. Relatively flexible, and perfectly on time for the waves that require or would be easier with tools. Btw pro tip, the first shot on the assault rifle and bolter has pin point accuracy, so if you want to snipe, time your shots so you accurately hit your target one bullet at a time, this strat is also applied to any weapon without bullet drop I think, also the grenade launcher is actually very good for tight situations like shielders being clumped together or when you want to damage a group of enemies, I personally call it “mortaring” which comes in clutch.
Btw, I chose rallying over overcharge because it is not really necessary for dynamic, and is able to fit into the budget, but for hell, it is usually better to use overcharger. Along with rocket stormer, same reasons, budget, and it is sufficient enough compared to shockwave device for dynamic, just leave platforms last, and get really close to the platforms, and spam 5 rocket stormer rockets into the red, or use 4 rockets, 1 grenade into it, and destroy the platform sentries (emplacements) to finish it off.
Basically how I play Assault is I get Bolter, Rallying Cry, and Mercy kill to make myself a tank with every 20 seconds I toss a Mercy kill to not only shred enemies, but to heal and fill my rallying cry basically making you unstoppable
I'd recommend everyone to use rally, as it doesnt get bypassed by achillieses AP unlike overcharge. And you can use it on your team that gives 60% more resistance.
Btw, the grenade launcher is also useful for stopping a gunner’s firing and temporarily stops gaia from healing her escorts. You could also use it for damaging tanks and apus but an rpg is more efficient in that. Overall this a great video about DVN :D

Fun fact:Rallying cry abilities damage resistance used to actually be 90% before It was changed to 50% after sandbox was added and subwaves was removed.
When I first played DvN I raged quit like for the first few minutes (i was playing on mobile) , But after a few tries it became easy a bit and then I got addicted to it so ya that’s it.
i mostly use assault for liek yhe offensive capabilities and soemtimes the supportive capabilities like idk saving my teammates by grappling tempest and disarming shielders

Advanced Pro Tips: why don’t use Harpoon Gun + Overcharger + Pacemaker + Save your ammo + Skill Issues + Aerorig?

the rangers explosion time can depend on difficulty. The higher the difficulty the faster he detonates. So yes it can work but i find it risky
