At the 5:20 mark it looks like the front tramp strip has pulled out of the "luff rope" slot of the front beam by the port jib sheet block. Hobie sells the "Trentec Tramp Clamps" (Hobie USA part #2066). These work great in keeping your tramp from pulling out of the front, back and side beams.
The jib sends more wind behind the mainsail, providing more lift on the mainsail. The reason for the jib. 😉
