Lol. I didn't have an SP1200 at the time. I used an Ensoniq ASR-10 for the 808's which I sampled from a vintage 808 drum machine my boy had at the time. The drum loop was also sampled on the ASR. The Crash, Kick and Snare came from a Korg M3-R and Roland R-8 drum machine. The Keys came from a Roland JV880. Lead synth was something I made on the TX81Z; basically a sine tone pitched up high with a little portamento dialed in. Live bass mixed with a synth bass off the Yamaha TX81Z. My man Kevin "WaWa" Veney was on Guitar. 3 Separate parts make up all the guitar stuff. A WaWa up the middle, rhythm guitar in the left ear Line guitar on the right. I don't like the song itself (I don't like the lyrics, I don't like the title, I don't like the message and I don't like the video) all because it has a malicious feeling to it and that ain't a good thing, but the instrumental is great. Because that's a positive beat that reminds you of positive things / that puts you in a positive mood regardless what the original song is about ; that's an example of how you can take a melody and separate it from the actual song taking that instrumental to another context better than that song context or, in other words, it's an example of how you can find the good part even within a bad situation
