@@sharktos3218 Fr, the structure deck itself is garbage: No swap frog making dupe frog completely useless. Even things like Gameciel could have been included since Konami usually puts Kaijus that have a shared type in structure decks.
@@radianzero Yeah, one special or multiple interesting cards. Something new players actually need. I "pre ordered" the SD 3 times, because I love Trishula and the theme idea. I thought we would get a real burner like Ash in Salamangreat. There is no reason for the missing Swap Frog.

I'm guessing since it was a poll and Konami didn't choose it themselves they weren't interested in making it good like they did with Dinosaur or soul burner. Usually structure decks get some additional support cards in later sets but it's going to have to be something huge to make it viable.
Yo Sam, please make a deck with this structure and some generic staples most players should already have, like Halqifibrax/Borreload Savage/Frog package/etc. there’s a ton of water support and they fit this deck so cleanly, then you can quick synchro with Halq into anything. The potential is there!
The structure deck is pretty good aside from swap frog missing and a pitiful magic/trap set but I wouldn't expect it to be God tier but I've barrier was one of my favorite cards so nice to see them again

I've been messing around with Ice barrier for a month now, the VJUMP promo card we got in the structure deck is an amazing card for the deck to run 2 or 3 of. Majority of the time you can pitch it to the GY with the frog tuner and then get her level modulation and extra body on your next turn. (she can also special summon wayne from your hand by tributing herself) - Another way to get wayne out turn 1. I'd personally cut the Genex undine + controller, as you won't be normal summoning it and mirror master on the same turn to utilize the controller add for discard..

I recommend having a second copy of Defender of the Ice Barrier in there. Gives a little more flexibility IMO. This deck obviously is not a meta-viable deck, but in terms of making the best build possible from these cards alone, the engine was pretty nice. I actually dropped the fiend’s chain down to 2, but that’s personal preference.
Nice budget version for those who can pick up 3 copies, but can you and your connections see if you can post a more Competitive version? Closest I've gotten uses Halq plays in opponents turn for Crystron Synchros, or Trish, with a Toad on board, for example. Ice Barrier have been done dirty imo, BUT, at least they have much more consistency, and can actually do something.
Agreed, the new SD makes Ice Barriers more sychro consistent with more SS focus, but it makes the old ones incredibly slow. I wouldn't be surprised if ppl played the new ones sychro focused ones only
what the old one can do... It's just... Too slow and fragile... Luckily the new cards is there, at least it improves the archetype playstyle more fitted for the game now
Sam love the profile. But the deck is a lot stronger if you just focus on making locks with spellbreaker/wayne/revealer etc. You have rly good matchups vs the meta game that way.On the other had synchro spam gives you just a good going second.

Unless your ice master is 1st ed near mint it's most likely not 100 Outside of that, it is an old secret that would only go up cuz of that reason only. It being an old secret. Ice Barriers won't make it go up at all
I have my own build where mirror master plus speaker makes a nibiru safe bahamut toad, plus toad, plus halq which makes desert locusts to rip one then quick sinc into savage with coral anemone in gy, so off of those 2 you can actually make a pretty good board
First ns mirror master, discard for frost spirit, summon speaker, xyz into bahamut toad, speaker gy eff to make a token, frost spirit to send prior then link bahamut and token into coral anemone to summon back prior, then link anemone and frost spirit into halq, halq eff to summon dewdark, overlay for toad and make savage on opponent's turn with halq
The deck is great, may not be the best but is quite an improvement. But you know what, the salt of competitive people: "-you should have voted for that" makes my vote for ice barrier worth.

Hey Sam, I can see why the Undine combo is good, but I feel like if you open it with any other card except freezing chains it’s just a brick and a half, and if that’s the case why not just run more extenders like aqua spirit and fishborg?
The deck is much more playable but a few better reprints (Evenly Matched, Swap Frog, Reasoning, Called by the Grave, Twin Twisters, etc.) could have pushed this deck even further. I run Crackdown and Fiendish in this deck, steal my opponent’s best non Link/Xyz monster, and go into either Trishula.
7:32 I always use defender of the ice barrier instead of throwing it away because if I summon it in defense, it’s nearly impossible for my opponent to attack because it’s effect. Anybody else do the same? I also would run general gantala because if I was running 2 or 3 defenders, after tributing a defender I’ll special summon it right back with gantala

Stupid question: What happens if you bounce crackdown back to hand with Dewloren while you still have control of the monster you stole? My assumption is that the monster returns to the owners control.
It still not enough to get competitive, but at least they can synchro their boss easier than before... The old Ice barrier can't even swarm the field and stay there for obvious reasons...

Stupid question: What happens if you bounce crackdown back to hand with Dewloren while you still have control of the monster you stole?
My assumption is that the monster returns to the owners control.
very late, but building this for fun because of the new ocg cards announced for ice barrier. had one question about this deck. no zuijin?
It still not enough to get competitive, but at least they can synchro their boss easier than before... The old Ice barrier can't even swarm the field and stay there for obvious reasons...
