Wow wow wow is right! You got the meaning of this song quicker than any other reactor I’ve seen! You knew as soon as the preacher handed her the Bible, good job! Beauty AND brains!…;)
Ugh i get so frustrated when i watch reactions to this song and people don't actually get what hes saying at the end. I'm sk glad to see that you understood the story that hes telling. Youd be surprised by how many people just don't be paying attention.
This song is so good at illustrating the length of God's desire to reach every one of us. I'm along in years, and have been continually amazed at the length God goes to to get our attention, and how He embraces us when we finally get it, regardless of anything in our past. Grace and mercy. Grace--being given what we don't deserve. Mercy--not given what we do deserve.
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.
This has for a long time been my favorite song by Randy Travis. I really enjoyed your reaction to it, especially when you figured out who survived the crash.
More often than not country music offers a story born of home, heart and soul which anyone can relate to in their own way. Thank you for including the genre in your reactions Maddy. And congratulations on your well deserved channel growth which will continue because of your dedicated effort, no doubt.
Very deep and beautiful song 👌👍, nice Reaction maddy, success always for the future keep on being maddy as she is , beautiful, cute and enchanting...😘🥂💖😋
🎼🔥🔥🔥🎼 ... so happy to see you are finding Randy Travis .. he is a legend of Country Music. This is one my favorite karaoke songs to sing in my Country community. 🎼🔥🔥🔥🎼
Great reaction! You picked up the meaning of this song so much faster than any reactor I've seen. It was both the country and the gospel song of the year a couple of decades ago. If you haven't reacted to Brooks and Dunn's "Believe," I think you'd enjoy and appreciate it.
you had it right. last verse when he mentions "that's the story that his preacher told last Sunday", makes you wonder a bit until he sings the rest of the song. thank you for sharing and you have a blessed day.
This song moves me to tears every time since I was a kid. When he says “the preacher said can’t you see the promise land! As he laid the blood stain bible in that hookers hand”. 😭 I can never finish singing from then on. How many others cry from this song?
Somebody else commented the same thing I was going to say. I love this song. I've watched so many reactions for this song, and you were the quickest to reach the meaning, and you reached it in a much deeper way.
Very nice Maddy. Insightful as well as beautiful. One of VERY few reactors to this song who didn't need a comment section full of explanations lol. really a wonderful story. Lots of great music from Randy. One of my faves is a song about a guy remembering the time he spent hanging with his great-grandpa when he was a boy. It's called He walked on water. Think you'll like it. Stay safe and well.
That's country music for you. So many country songs tell a story. And the fact that you understood the message so quickly is amazing! So many people get this message all wrong, kinda blows my mind. Great reaction!
I have listened to this song and watched many other people like yourself react to this song but ive never thought about it like that. She was spared because she didnt have enything to leave behind yet. Actually insane.
you are quick on the draw little sis , this story usually baffles so many , it seemed so obvious when i first heard it . I guess it's all subjective in the end , one of Randy's best.
Even as an atheist, I draw inspiration and solace from this song. I never let myself believe that a Utopia exists in my future. Im not disillusioned to the point where I think Ill agree with every thought, explanation, reason and motivation that every other human has. But Ill never come down on or discount someone elses beliefs when I know they come from a place of thoughtful introspection and an understanding of place and self worth, inside our current and defined existence. "Intelligence is the ability to adapt and change." And those criteria are definitive of SELF, not surroundings.
I think the meaning is " we don't know what gods plan is. In this case the hooker survived, and bore a son who theoretically ended up saving many more souls.
thats the thing about country music ... i am 67 yrs old and i can tell you that country music artist don't usually make up stories to right songs about ... most of them are true and they write about what they see or experience and country singers are very well known for writings songs about personal experiences and is where they get their ideas from.
Wow you're sharp. I've listened to this song for 20 years and I never got the true meaning until about a year ago. God bless you Maddy, I hope you go far ❤
im impressed that you got the meaning in this song so fast, id love to see you do Martina Mcbride CONCRETE ANGEL she delivers a gut punch in that song, i love your smile, god bless you
@MaddyReactions, Randy Travis is a tremendous country crooner and true story teller, He’s had some very bad health issues and is no longer able to perform… Please, check out Randy’s songs, Forever and Ever Amen, On the Other Hand, I tTold You So, Deeper Than the Holler, He Walked on Water and my personal favorite “Promises” eVery one of them quite different , but each is Country Music Classic… Good Luck Jjh
You are just too brilliant. You figured out where this was going so quickly. Your reaction upon confirmation was priceless. Keep doing what you are and I'll be a subscriber as long as you do.
Having had an incurable (but sometimes controllable) cancer for 5 years (that I have beaten 5 times now) I have learned to motivate, inspire, and challenge myself to use well the extra time I have been given. Something I decided early on is that it is not as important to die without regrets as it is to do all you can to make sure the people you love do not die with regrets that you could have impacted or prevented. Nobody can be sure how much time one has. Next time you draw a breath in, hold it for a few seconds and appreciate it because you can never be sure that it won’t be your last breath. Use your time well.
It is refreshing to see a reactor understand the meaning of this song without having it explained to them. The thing is, it's not that hard to understand if they would just pay attention. Obviously, you do! Good reaction!
Wow - Your insight is fantastic. I did not catch that part! I like your view on why the hooker was a survivor! She was not yet complete in Gods eye and had a work still to do! So insightful - Love this!
While the story is fictional, the crosses "on the right side of the highway" mentioned are real and the inspiration for the song. Nearly two decades ago, a millionaire (or his family after his death) spent his fortune erecting triads of tall crosses all along the "bible belt" area of the United States. Most have been taken down now, but a few still remain as far as I know.
The beautiful Maddy with an amazing voice with exceptional grammar. You should have your mother on with you as a guest so we can meet the woman who gave birth to this beautiful child
I hope you discover more Country Music.. try "Forever And Ever, Amen" by Randy Travis. And .. try another legend like Merje Haggard...... "Natural High" 🔥
It seems like God always accomplishes His will no matter what. We usually can’t see it because His time is not our time. Sometimes we can see it partially or thoroughly and those are the really powerful moments.
Not sure who the band is but it's called a little dust on the bottle. That's a great song to review. It's a country song. My name is Jim Miller. You have a great day
This was such a great reaction! I recommend reacting to Fancy by Reba, and In Color by Jamey Johnson. They are both really captivating stories as well!
Wow wow wow is right! You got the meaning of this song quicker than any other reactor I’ve seen! You knew as soon as the preacher handed her the Bible, good job! Beauty AND brains!…;)
Thank you ☺️💖
That’s the truth most reactors don’t get the story but she got it right away
We both love watching reactions!
Lord is it mine by Supertramp (classic rock) Play the at my mom's passing
I agree with what others said. No reactor caught on as quick as you...
The absolute best reaction to this song… hands down!!
That's what you call a song going in full circle
Ugh i get so frustrated when i watch reactions to this song and people don't actually get what hes saying at the end. I'm sk glad to see that you understood the story that hes telling. Youd be surprised by how many people just don't be paying attention.
I love the look on people’s face when they hear this song the first time and “get it”.
Brilliant reaction. You are one of the very few reactors that actually concentrated on the lyrics and realised the twist at the end.
🩷
agree with you most do not get it and some have to use internet to find out what he was talking about

Thank you 💖
You just amaze me with your deep emotional understanding of the wonderful song that also is a lot of Randy's life!
Great reaction Maddy! Randy had such a great country voice. Good story telling also. He had many popular songs before suffering a stroke in 2013.
Definitely
A lil bit of country this morning!! 🙌🏼 the lyrics are very good!

I absolutely love this song!!! One of my all time faves!!!! My first question, however, has always been...3 ???? What happened to the bus driver????
Love the song Love your reactions lovely lady. Seems you have great soul
😊 thank you
Very good assessment, Maddy. It is also about change and redemption. "He Walked on Water" by Randy Travis is an excellent song too.

The on point analyzation of this RT classic is why I subscribed. Great job young lady so many have reacted to this song and have missed the point.
💖
This was a #1 hit for Randy Travis about 20 years ago. Not 100% sure but I believe it was his last really big hit.
Oh wow
That was a remarkable reaction, Maddy. Great work!
Thank you!! 💖

Great reaction, it's songs like this one that make you stop counting days and start making the days count.
Right!
Each time I hear this song, I ask myself, "But what about the bus driver ?"
He’s in jail for running the stop sign and killing three people
Well, mon ami, at least he has the comfort of now knowing that an 18-wheeler can't stop on a dime.@@captainkangaroo4301
I LOVE your reaction at the end when the story came around. This has aways been one of my favorite songs.
The life changing power of Gods word.

I subbed to ya because of this video.
Thank you, very impactful song!
You caught the plot twist VERY early. Until the last verse, I thought it was the preacher that survived.
It is never to late to get saved unless you die without your name written in the book of life
True!
I've always loved Randy Travis sorry to see that he's going through so many health issues but I have to say also you're absolutely adorable

When you first hear the song - if you really "Listen" to the Lyrics you can figure out who winds up living and why there are only 3 Wooden Crosses.
