How to grease a ball valve without dismantling.

If your ball valves are functioning ok and are not in need of major servicing or replacement, you can grease them using this method.

So you can take your hose off and do it from the inside, or you can haul your boat out and do it from the bottom.
I'm assuming you should be able to do this while in the water, but you didn't say...

Never tried it from the inside whilst afloat, but you wouldn't be able to operate the valve to spread the grease without getting very wet :-)

I reckon you'd put enough grease in there, then work it in after the hose is back on.

Hell, I can't get to most of mine from the inside, except to turn the handles. But I can't afford a haulout just to lube either.

Do you not have a local scrubbing grid nearby, where you can dry out the boat between tides?
