I just want to thank you Connor for helping me understand more about goalkeeping. I’m not a goalkeeper myself I play center mid. I’m currently suffering from a minor injury so I missed my last game and wasn’t able to watch because I had a doctors appointment for my injury. One of our goalkeepers (not our main one) passed the ball into our own net without any pressure from any defenders when receiving a good pass from our center back making us lose the game. Some on my teammates started yelling and screaming at our goalie on the field and after the game. I’ve heard that she hasn’t showed up to any practices or games since and she was very sad after the game. Hoping she gets back soon and because of your videos, I’ve learnt how hard goalkeeping is so I’ve texted her multiple times telling her that it was ok.
Such a great attitude Emily - many outfielders don't really understand the GK position, so for you to take the time to learn a bit about it & to reach out is amazing, and I'm sure she will really appreciate it. Keep being a great person and a great teammate
I´m on my third pair of Kaliaaer gloves, currently using this exact glove but black. Absolutely agree on the tackiness point. The gloves are not OVERLY tacky, however, the quality of the grip is so consistent that it's never been an issue. But I have to admit that with my first pair I was like: "Hmm, I would've expected them to be a bit more sticky." Don´t let that first impression put you off, the gloves are great and will easily last you if you take care of them.
Brilliant video, Conor! And here is my take on what you said: - I bought a pair of all black Kaliaaer roll-finger gloves last Christmas (a PWRLITE one), and it's remarkable for being so compact yet excellently performing (RF are naturally BULKY but the ones I got are not). So, I have to say that Kaliaaer outdid themselves with that design. Generally, I go for an all black colour way because dirt/wearing/tearing signs are less visible on them compared to other colour ways. If I start playing on grass, I will consider buying a colourful pair - The strap in my personal opinion is the only downside of the product, because I prefer it to go one full round on the wrist. Some gloves have straps that can go multiple full rounds by the way - Thanks a lot for telling us about your experience with the glove's durability. The used gloves do not seem to be seriously damaged even after expensive use. I know that Adidas gloves nowadays completely lack this attribute, along with workmanship (all evidenced by videos on YT). Plus, they are unreasonably overpriced as you mentioned - There is nothing wrong with gloves losing tackiness, because this is unavoidable. Pre-washing is necessary, and once the keeper feels that the gloves have taken some serious beating, they can use special products for boosting glove tackiness (e.g. Gloveglu)
Love that you brought up the tackiness part, a lot of newer keepers have to learn that theirs a difference between Tackiness a grip, and I can’t blame them since that’s all these brands like to show off on Instagram
Hi, Conor! Only once I had the pair of gloves, umbro, where initial tackeness, as you said, not disappeared quickly but lasted all life of gloves. On the matches and then on the trainings. I think, that was my best pair of gloves I had. Best Wishes!
Been using kaliaaers for a few years now since you first put them on your channel, big fan of their gloves. Started on the pwrlite neg cut and roll cuts and tried their 3dxi cut, enjoyed all 3 cuts. currently using their strapless gloves - big fan of these too but wished they came with a removable strap since there is a Velcro patch on the glove and wished the strapless models came in other cuts apart from the neg
Love the review, I think since watching you and the rating of the gloves, I bought my son a pair for his games and hands down the best choice. He rates them above his old adidas predators and Sells 360 (£150) which are still a great glove. He has the Niteflare VI and for the 2nd half of season are still in great condition. Only downside I have is that I can never spell Kaliaaer!😂
I tried it, it was my friend's gloves, the fit was nice but i don't know about the grip because his gloves was already torn but i will try to save some money to buy it
I love kaliaaer gloves but I always find the wrist strap is too short so I have just brought 4 pairs of the nitrolite X series which are strapless for next season and can't wait to get using them, so excited
I got my first pair of Kaliaaer gloves recently, I have been loving them. But when I was ordering them I forgot that UK had left the EU, so then I had to pay a lot for the customs. So unfortunately I probably won't be getting another pair.
@@ConorOKeefe for me they are just 2 swiss franks to expensive. I would have to pay like extra 20-30 franks for them. So i am going with the one gloves, wich are pretty good for me. Waht is your opinion on them? Keep up the great work!!
I have those white gloves and the grip is holding on really well but the index finger on right is wearing a lot (maybe due to me using them sometimes dry 🤷♂️) but nevertheless the gloves is probably my favourite currently
Since connor started wearing them ive tried them aswell and they are just brilliant in all conditions but since brexit happened the price of customs (not the gloves) is too much sadly.. but i still try to get a pair once a season theyre just that good 💪🏻💪🏻
How come you change them every 5 matches i buy 1 pair and play like 30 matches like the whole season and every training session as well.I bought white pwrlites like 20 days ago and i played 3 matches and had like 5 training sessions and they didnt even show any damage, maybe a little on the palm and on the fingers but to little damage i love this gloves because the fit and the cut is very good for the price.Keep on smashing it Conor!
I never used to, but now that I'm fortunate enough to get sent gloves by Kaliaaer, I'm able to change them more often! But that's great that you are able to use them for that long!
How do u feel about the sizing? I currently wear the reusch gloves and I wear and 8 and they have finger saves in them. Do I stick with the 8? Maybe a 7.5 or 7?
They are pretty consistent with sizing. If you are going to get the Kaliaaer pwrshock range (with the fingersave) then I'd get an 8, but if you're going for the normal pwrlites then maybe 7.5
Do you think they could last a full season (about 30 matches) playing on mainly grass? I was thinking of getting the Uhlsport absolut grip but based of your video these look a lot more durable and for a similar price!
What’s the grip like in wet weather ? I’ve always used sells wet weather gloves and never changed in 15/20 years but they cost so much . I’m looking into buying these now . Also would you say they’re true to size ? I normally take a size 10 in sells .
Hi Martyn, yes the grip is very good in the wet. Kaliaaer also do an Aquav8aer spray, which can add more grip in the wet! & yes, these are definitely true to size You can use the discount code OKEEFE to save a bit of money on them too!
The main downside I found with Kaliaaer is the sizing. They seem to be about 2 sizes bigger than most other brands I tried. Which puts me down to a size 3 (or maybe even 2), and there's not much variation in colourways and models for those sizes.
I still love the brand though, and their customer service! I will probably keep getting their gloves. Just wished even the smallest sizes had the same colours as the larger ones.
hopefully you can get back in the starting line up keep up the hard work and no doubt you will regain your spot. Really enjoying your vlogs keep them coming,
