    I have watched quite a few reviews of the 800 DE; they have all been positive. I think Suzuki are on a winner with this. Cheers from Australia.

      Lou, Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it. I have been following the various adventure bikes from the many manufacturers for several years now and I will likely buy my on soon. Hey hope you you find the channel worthy of becoming a subscriber. Thanks again!

      I have seen quite a few folks from Australia watching and commenting. I can see that several of the folks there are very knowledgeable on the “2-wheel” topics. I have learned a ton from listening to Aussie riders on podcasts and video as well. Thanks so much for your insights!

    I ditched my heavy cruiser for one of the 1050 ones 3 years ago. Quite an upgrade. Much more comfy and a whole lot more fun to ride.

      Ron, thanks for sharing your experience. I have what I think is a developing split personality where I love to tour and camp off of the Harleys, but following "Around-the-World" riders for a number of years now has drawn me to "add-to" rather than "replace" a bike. Roxie loves her "luxury" seat on the Harley which I could not get rid of but I am sure and adventure bike is in my very near future.

    Time to ditch that government funded cruiser manufacturer. I dumped HD 30yrs ago and never looked back. HD is a retched company run by retched leaches.

      Jon, I assume you like to do woodworking from your “handle”. I just bought a table saw and have started expanding my hobbies and building a new porch and steps with composite decking and starting to build shop tables and cabinets, etc. Love to discuss wood working with you sometime and pick your brain with questions I have on the subject. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion, I also produce videos on camping, motocamping and motorcycle touring and hope you like the content to subscribe! I am an equal opportunity 2-wheel junkie and love all things motorcycling. Check out my #whyiride video th-cam.com/video/fYwEN-j2xOQ/w-d-xo.html

    Great review~ does the 800 manage its heat well? I've heard a few reports that it throws a lot of heat on your lets. Trying to decide between this and the new Honda Transalp~ thanks. I'm in Las Vegas & it gets really hot here~

    • @clemgriffis3446
      @clemgriffis3446  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JMS, There is nothing design-wise that would make this engine any hotter then the next on a similar bike. What are you hearing that gives you cause for concern? Please standby as I will be doing a 500 mile interview with Chris on the bike to give his impressions of the break-in period.

      @@clemgriffis3446 Just watching every review~ two of them reported unusual amounts of heat. The Honda Transalp 750 has had no issues, but it's cooling fan comes on constantly~ just like my VFR800. I'm routing for the Suzuki~ that's the one I really want. Look forward to your 500 mi review.

    Mi piacerebbe sapere se il motore scalda, grazie.

      Amedeo: I spoke to Chris about the engine heat. He rode the bike tonight. The bike provides a temp reading, 186 F when moving, but runs up over 200 F when standing still. You can feel it on your ankles, but nothing as warm as an air-cooled 883 in Summer time on black top. Chris was riding an air-cooled Harley just like and our foot positions are out in front more but the Harley’s are definitely hotter on the legs, especially while standing still at a traffic signal.
      I will be interviewing Chris very soon to go over his thoughts and observations after 500 miles of riding. Please send in more questions you have so we can discuss in the upcoming interview.
      FOR ALL OTHERS: I google translated the comment/question from Amedeo.. “I’d like to know if the engine warms up…”

      Gabe, sorry dude but ($12,999 - $11,349 = $1,650) every day of the week on my calculator… I guess I am doing “math” math. suzukicycles.com/adventure/2023/v-strom-800de

    Did u tried the quick shifter? It’s awesome and smooth like butter!!

      No I did not try that. This was the first ride of a bike like this with very little preparation. Really enjoyed riding the bike, I am sure I will buy something similar in the next year.
