Yip. His dad is a disgrace. I've watched this show since the beginning, and it's crystal clear that there is next to no affection between the 2. I've no doubt his dad loves him. But making his own son buy him out in what should be a family affair, just isn't right.
You deserve everything that is coming your way Shawn. You have shown that you not only understand the mechanical side of things but also have a feeling for where the gold is concentrated.

I am all caught up with the last episode of the season and all I’m going to say is I hope Shawn on the next new season does great on getting the gold because according to him he owes a lot and that includes his arrogant father. He’s horrible to Shawn and it p- - sed me off.

This show makes him look like such a good hard working dude and by all means he does work hard and he’s smart as hell coming to finding gold . But he’s an alcoholic drug addict and he’s been caught drunk driving so many times he’s lost count . I lose all respect for anyone that decides to drive drunk and risk killing innocent families on the road .

Surely there's only so much gold in the sea at Nome. I'd hate to live there, it's such a shitty looking place.
I really love the way Shawn thinks. "Once you get the numbers right you are going to catch gold." Engineers and technicians can run you ragged with all of their calculations, and they aren't very often way wrong. But sometimes you just gotta simplify things and double, triple or quadruple the size.
It makes me a little sick thinking about the future of that area.

Storm surges from hurricanes do a number. Beaches look like they have gravel instead of sand in Bonaire from antler coral being destroyed and broke into little chunks. Mother Nature can put man to shame with the power she can exert.
