The talent pool was ranked fifth in the NHL before the draft. I wonder how good it gonna be after this draft. We still have 4 second round picks! Hawks are gonna be a lot of fun to watch, again, I am so stoked RN
@@TheGinsuMastaThat was only one guy saying the hawks have the 5th best prospect pool. Most analysts had them in the 8-15 range prior to the draft. Either way they got some great players today.
Something I think would be interesting is going back and doing scouting reports for current superstars (McDavid, MacKinnon, etc) to see what their strengths and weakness’ were when they were draft eligible
You never know how they draft unfolds until it happens but man I’d be stoked on draft night if he ended up in a Wild sweater, I think he’s gonna be a hell of an NHLer once he leaves college hockey.
Thank you for the great videos. Nice to know this info on these prospects, before the draft starts. Then during the season you let us know who’s draft stock is going up or down during the season. Thank you!
I am so happy with my Blackhawk's Draft... I dont even know how to react! And the things is, the Blackhawks will more than likely have A LOT of money for FAs next season, but even more important than that is the unbelievable number of Draft Picks the Blackhawks have over the next 3 years! And I mean 1st and 2nd round picks! The Franchise as it currently sits has an great opportunity to set itself up for major success in the near future!
if they keep Kasper they would not need him except if it's a bedard or Fantilli (even Carlsson) with the departure of Bert they'll need more of a winger and at the spot they could likely select I think more about Benson or Cristall but we'll see
@@nhldraftpros it's still an option depending if Yzerman see him more translating to wing I can hear the argument because he has some natural attributes to become a great winger but yeah interesting point
That speed and motor remind me of Paul Byron. Intriguing prospect for sure. I wouldn't doubt if he would outscore Smith if they both had the same linemates.
That would be interesting to see! There's so many variables at play. But Moore has been a scoring machine once he landed Eiserman and Hagens as wingers in the latter part of the season.
Great vid! As a Gopher season ticket holder I am looking forward to watching him develop this upcoming season. Having Cooley as another dynamic center should make it a fun season to watch.
Such a great player. If I were a GM and my team had a pick outside of that top 5 then I would be so relieved cos I could pick Moore and not have to worry about all the fanfare surrounding Bedard et al. Do you think his development would be hindered if Cooley returns to the Gophers? For instance Moore playing as 1C with Snuggerud as a Freshman, and then Eiserman the following year would surely be more advantageous for his development compared to being a wing on Cooley's line or 2C as a Freshman?
Hard to say what they have planned for him at Minnesota. Being 2C as a freshman isn't a bad thing and may help him transition easier and help with other aspects of his game.
I see him as a 2C, but you never know. Guess it depends on what a team has on their team and/or prospect pool. Could possibly see Moore moving over to the wing too?
@@nhldraftpros The Flyers could use another Center on the team, I'd like to trade down and select Quinton Musty and add him above or below Joel Farabee.
Was hoping he’d stay under the radar from guys like Yager, Cristall ect for him to fall to my team, but that’s out the window he’s a top 10 guy no doubt
I think I like Ryan Leonard a little more than Moore, he has better vision and shot imo. Moore is faster, but Leonard is no slouch skating and seems to think the game faster and use his linemates more. Could be a symptom of lesser linemates for Moore, but he seems to try and do it all by himself too often.
I'm a big fan of Leonard. He's the next video that I'm working on and hopefully have it out before the weekend. Leonard reminds me of Cutter Gauthier from last year's draft.
@@nhldraftpros Good comp there, and as a Blues fan, I could see Snuggerud and Leonard being the new wave in our top 6 with Kyrou, Thomas and Buch for years to come.
@@zohraishv Could happen...2 very fast players complimenting one another on a line. Nazar a little more dazzle in his game than Moore, but Moore more compete and defensive awareness. Would be a lot of fun to watch for sure!
@@nhldraftpros yeah they even have the same skating stride and short area quickness, and obviously insane speed. I do think Moore has better hands and a better feel for the game. He also probably has a higher upside, although, JJ is criminally underrated and that line of Peterka Cozens and Jack Quinn is going to be unstoppable next year.
@@dancarpentieri7762 JJ has been underrated big time! Great numbers in the AHL last season and I just remember him at World Juniors with Stutzle and the magic those two had...wow!
Devils fan here. Kid needs some work for sure. Definitely 1 year, maybe 2 in college. BUT he gives me jack hughes vibes. Kid plays the game relentlessly and with a game changing pace Not going to happen, this kid on jack hughes wing would be crazy
Does not have the greatest hands. But speed you can't teach. The Hawks have Nazer. So I think they would be better off with the top 4 after Bedard. But who knows they may have a GM who likes to reach. They can do no worse than 5th in the lottery. Would not touch Mitchov. Looks like the Russian players are becoming part of the new cold war.
It will be interesting to see where to teams land after the lottery. I think that will play a big role in where players will get selected. Can't wait for May 8th!
