my biggest gripe with pumps in video games is they always shoot painfully slow. if i can fire 6 times in about 2 seconds with a pump im sure any soldier could too.
Depends on the load, these militaries have spent Billions researching something as minuscule as a bullet to perfect it im sure they’ve perfected powerful shells with barely any kick
Saiga AK shotguns ( I have a bunch of them ) they mainly only run smooth with 1,300fps and higher, usually 3inch shells. They kick like a mual lol a good muzzle brake and a solid stance can handle the recoil but it's not going to be very fun lol it's fvcking violent as hell

buckshot generally won't punch through armor that's used by militaries so maybe it's the pellets hitting the soft spots that are actually doing damage
