If you have a restricted license you can drive without L . I had a Full license with restrictions I didn’t carry L plate. Always check lights, indicators ,horn , water level in vipers these r the first step on test many get disqualified if something fail to work . Always carry your restricted license and be there before 15 mins of ur test time.
Remember to check MIB while driving .All the best 🙂

Helo bro please answer my questions
I came to newzealand in 2011 and stayed 1.5 year.. I had NZ driving licence that time.. now it's been 10 years I have been living in India my newzealand licence has expired how can I renew my license from India? And how much is the fees and how long does it takes. Do they submit old licence before they issue new one..
I came to nz in 2011 then I came back to India.. in 2012

Hi .. To renewal of Nz license you need to visit AA Center fill Renewal form DL1 , present evidence of identity , prove your eyesight meet require standards , provide medical certificate if required, let the Agent take your Photo & signature, Pay Renewal fee $18.70 for Class 1 . If you are coming to New Zealand to stay you may need to renew or else in India only Indian license is valid . You have to be here in person to renew your Nz license.

How to validate Indian DL? It is required with the DL5 form.

You should carry your original DL while applying or converting to NZ DL and it should be in English and currently valid
