I loved their team dynamics so much. Pavonashi being a married couple, each in their own world until the situation called for it and they joined forces, Faunya being the chillest people and winning, and Kromoon being just builders, building bunkers, wonders, and everything in between
I could tell Fauna was trolling since she wasn't microing when she had her first swarm of elephants and attacked Kronii, then destroyed Kiara's castle and left.

Moona's experience is overrated. If anything, she's the reason why they died. Kronii asked her about the wonder and Moona told her to build a wonder early into the game without any military support which was a terrible decision.

To be honest building a castle so near at fauna is like provoking them into attacking you, i think that is most of the reason why fauna being aggressive in the 1st place

I don't blame Kiara for being frustrated, but she was being a pretty poor loser by the end of it all. Especially for a no-stakes game with coworkers (if not friends). Ultimately it was a game between 6 near total novices and it could have played out wildly differently at like a million different points if some small decisions were made differently
And also with Reine falsely accusing the saplings are spying on her and feeding Fauna information when Reine literally builds a visible castle in Fauna's view.

Chat was spamming doing Fanna steamroll until the end were she coudn't find were kronii and moon were hidding

I already watched this stream in all POV and still can't get enough of Fauna's Sweep.

As a sapling this is truly a fauna sweep moment. Sasuga Gaming Kirin
To be fair I saw this coming the moment Fauna chose Persians.
And they still are hard to counter as a mass unit due to their ridiculous trample damage (50% inflicted in a 0.5 tile radius when they attack)...
So mass of Pikemen won't hard counter if you don't attack move (Kiara forgot about it) and loose formation which was never touched by anyone.
Just build monk, 1 monk is 1 third of the res of an elephant and they are almost guranteed a conversion in that matchup. If you let it come to the point where 60 phantos run at you, you just failed but in these kinda scenarios you can mass halb and get siege onager which deal enough damage to stop them if you got the right civ for that.
Intermediate level+ players should never struggle with persian war elephants unless there is a big skill gap.
@@xTKsauceYeah, Kiara was kinda sabotaging herself by right clicking the enemy and letting her halberdiers walk into the trample damage of them.
They're really easy to counter which is one of the reasons you never see them in pro games, but for beginners trying to figure out what beats them can be hard

You know Kiara had a really good strategy going on where she was building up forward operating bases right on their doorsteps, allowing her to generate units and send them in waves with little down time. Unfortunately for her, she was too aggressive and wound up burning up a lot of resources to do that. It hurt her late game a lot.
Meanwhile, Fauna was just farming the entire time and was able to build up a constant stream of elephants (Elite War Elephants are one of the strongest units in the entire game even with add-ons), so when she actually did want to attack she never needed to worry about running out of anything while her frontline was more than enough to trample everything into dust.
id say it Kiara didn't spam enough spearman, they would have beat down those elephants but you need alot luckily they work out cheaper then elephants i was face palming the hold time, Fauna was smart enough to have crossbowman to help counter the few spearman sent at her tho lol

In AoE matches like these I think the deterrent to stop fauna attacking reine was to attack her back. She'd probably try to retreat and when they leave reine alone you can pull back your attack. Although... Gamer Kirin factor and a Dota player... A base race does exist... But I think it might work.
It just occurred to me, it could’ve been a lot worse-Anya could’ve been slinging Fauna.
…so as an explanation-slinging is a strat in which one player is being given resources by one to three other team members building up an economy and using the market to tribute to the first player, thus freeing them to focus exclusively on combat. If the Civs in question have bonuses related to those roles, even better.
This Strat is banned in tournaments for a very good reason.

The turning point of this match is that Wonder construction which is basically force other to attack it and everything goes all out after that
Many people during the stream are mad that Moona and Kronii didn't resign, I say they did the right thing since Kiara and Reine didn't destroy all the buildings, and by the time they had their jungle castle it's last man standing. Which again, it literally says last man standing so it's fine that they did a guirella warfare, it's a hololive stream and not a tournament of pros afterall.
The real problem was probably that some people in chat told Reine and Kiara that the overall outcome of the match would be decided by resignation order. That's why Kiara was a bit salty: she thought she'd be placed last despite doing really well.
Of course, eventually, only the points counted. It was simply miscommunication that can be easily avoided next time. 👍

The problem with Kiara is she's not good at multitasking, when she's attacking she forgot about her base.
Meanwhile Fauna just keep training more elephant and terbs while attacking so it seems like she have infinite elephant.

The others really should've switched targets once they saw the Faunaphant army. Bullying Kronii and Moona early was probably the right choice, but once they were done for Fauna should've been #1 priority for everyone else. Kiara is probably the most skilled of them all, but she was like a pitbull - completely locked onto a target and nothing would dislodge her, which is why she ended up losing.
exactly. once they saw Fauna has elephants Pavonashi should've rebuild their armies and focused on Fauna, but Kiara's way too focused on destroying Kronii for some reason and Reine's focused on.. Villager unemployment lol
To be fair it can be frustrating if people don’t resign. Destroying a whole base just takes too long, especially early game. And saving one villager is to easy. The only thing I think that could’ve really changed the game would be switching to Fauna after Kroni instead of going to Moona. But because Kroni didn’t resign Kiara probably knew she was hiding/setting up at Moona. She probably should have let it go, but again, it can be frustrating. And at the very least Kiara gave us an entertaining match instead of every being all passive, like you often see in 2v2v2.

by the time Fauna already maxed out her population and assembled a massive horde of more than 20 elephants there's barely anything Pavonashi could do to stop the Rumbling, even if they try to spam as much spearmen as they can there was just too many elephants to deal with by that point. They did tried but fell short and Fauna's elephants just brute-forced their way through.
Pavonashi should have attacked Fauna early on when their combined military was still the strongest, would've have at least delayed Fauna's rumbling and even potentially intimidate Fauna from becoming aggressive at the end

Kiara probably tought that the best decision was to erase the most experienced player (Moona), and with that, the best option was firstly attack Kronii, not only because she is the weakest member of the team, but also because she build a wonder
with that, the decision was clear

They understimated Faunya team, or, in other words, they understimated the probable Elephant Rumble

But, the biggest mistake is when Moona/Kroni & Pavonashi starts underestimating the Ancient & Nature and think "Nah, it's ok" without a quick follow up or a better coordination.
Meanwhile, Fauna & Anya alwas considers the other team as strong player, so they prepare for the worst.
at the end, I felt really bad when pavonashi is started being salty cuz they have been playing underpressure.
Meanwhile, Kroni and Moona is chilling in the corner.
